My Inspiration to blog
So I have started a WoW blog.. the question is of course: why?
- I love to read them
- I have gained so much through reading/researching blogs and forums – and want to give a little back
- I want to write about WoW
- More time out of WoW than in, but the interest is ever present.
- Collate all those great tips I have found – why search 1,000’s of forums posts when you can read one blog.
- Not enough Mage blogs
Sources of inspiration
There are many, blogs, forums, online & offline discussions that have inspired me, and will inspire me to write.. I am usually pretty good at recording the source (if it was good for one item of information, it is bound to be good for more), but occasionally I screw up and miss them. I will cover (and acknowldge) many of the sources in later posts – if you see something that is yours, or should be credited somewhere, please gently nudge me.. it wont be out of disrespect or plagiarism that it isn’t credited.. just poor record keeping.
Some Personal information
I am male, 40+ years old (specifics don’t matter do they?), living in Australia with my wife and one male child.
I was playing D&D right back when it 1st came out, competing in tournaments 20 odd years ago. I have playing the occasional computer game, but nothing really “seriously” until I was convinced by friends to join them in WoW.
My Toons
I have created a few different toons, but only one has reached any level of raiding (Kara, ZA, Gruul’s lair & Lurker), my Gnome mage.
I am also currently playing a bank Alt, and slowly working on a level 19 twink warlock (much more time spent planning than playing)
Previously (Pre-TBC)I had a early 50’s Hunter, and a late 50’s druid – both horde, both dropped due to server move.
My Main is Gnomeaggedon and these are his tradeskills

My Alt is Enslavegurl
Gnomeaggedon’s Theme Song is MyPal
My Playstyle/Interests in game
My playtime is very limited (by agreement with my wife), generally only 5-6 hours per week on a friday night playing with my mates (5-7 of them.. nearly a Kara group). Occasionally I get another hour or two to flex my fireballs, but otherwise playing is limited to my bank alt, maybe 1/2 hour 3-4 times a week while I wash the dishes.
So I am a casual player.. at least in the sense that I can only be online casually… Offline I tend to be much more serious.. reading lots of forums, blogs & strategies. Analyzing my gear to identify the strengths and weaknesses, planning what is required where… and when I can get it. My objective is basically: If I can only be online for 5 hours, 4 hours and 45 minutes are going to be productive.. the other 15 minutes is going to be following up on research made during the week to ensure I am productive.
Enough for now…
Gnomer and out.

Welcome to the blogosphere! Great to see another gnome mage blogg incoming. Thank’s for linking to my blog!
The name of the blog isn’t Larisa Mage though.
Either you can call it Larísa’s Corner (if you’re linking to my current site http://larisamage.blogg.se) or you can call it The Pink Pigtail Inn where I’m currently moving (http://pinkpigtailinn.blogspot.com).
I’m looking forward to follow your writing to come! Let’s start discussing magestuff!
Hey Larísa,
I’m stoked that you are my first comment!
Yay! Gnome mages of the world (of warcraft) Unite.
I noticed you are moving your blog today.. so have not only corrected the name on the blog roll, but added your new address as well
looking forward to the ensuing discussions!
Gnome
Hi. Thanks for the first real comment on my blog. Its great you started a WoW blog. This is one of the better ones i have seen. I’m definitely subscribing to this feed. Keep up the good work.

Hail gnomeaggedon!
Good news is – I’m a mage!
Bad news is – I’m a human.
I regret choosing a human, however i didn’t like the gnome mage male hairstyles and wasn’t into playing girl characters at the time.
Anyway, I enjoyed reading your current blogs about mages – I feel it is a shame you have a limited play time, though I admire how you are so productive with it.
I have bookmarked your blog and look forward to reading more on it!

Level 80 Fire Mage
Hellfire EU
Hail Zurge,
I have stumbled across a post by you somewhere recently… can’t remember where it was…
Actually my 1st Mage was a male human, but I couldn’t stand the way it ran… couldn’t imagine watching it for (then) 60 levels…
Thanks for reading & commenting… hopefully I can keep it up.
G&O!
My main is an 80 mage, not a gnome but a mage none the less! (yes, it’s a human – don’t hold that against me!)
Great job on the blog! I’ve enjoyed reading for some time. I finally decided to get off my butt and start one myself.
Keep up the good work and I look forward to your future commentary!!
@Eury
Welcome aboard!
Human, Gnome, Forsaken whatever… though hopefully not a male human…
Thanks for your compliment… I had a quick look at your blog… sensible 1st post… content 1st design 2nd… Love your sing post!
PS: When I read your blog url http://sheepblinkinvis.com/ I “read” sheep in bikinis…. so I had to go look… still I wasn’t all that disappointed when I realized it was Sheep-Blink-Invis… still Sheep in bikinis would be something to see….
