I love this post. You've summarized my feelings for WoW beautifully. I left the game for about 9 months due to meanie pugs. I'm not the most strategic gamer there ever was. But I truly just love diving into it and going back for more. Thank you for validating my secret WoW strategy. :)

I am one of those crazy people that love random groups. I prefer to do heroics with strangers than my guild, not because I don't love running with my guild, I certainly do, but I truly enjoy the potentiality of chaos and the unknown of what my come. Disaster, or delight? Fun, or frustration? I love it all! ^ ^

I think WoW did lose something with the advent of cross-realm Dungeon Finder, then again with Raid Finder... however, I know I gained something.

I truly, madly, deeply, love the randomness that is a random dungeon (or now raid) run. Some of my most fun moments, and most frustrating moments have come in heroic randoms. That's a part of the reason for the naming of my blog, in fact :)
