Ha yeah, there are times where it can pay to be ahead of the clock.
I was good though… I timed mine sooo late in our day that it was officially the 21st somewhere in the States and closer to the 22nd here.
As for the pics making the story, they need to… there is no way I could come close to the quality of the words used by the other writers… so I will let you all fill in the words yourselves, which will make it a better short story than I could ever write.

Oh, I was hoping that you’d do one of your Gnomer-and-Squidly conversations for this challenge! I love how you used one of the words in each of the first seven panels.
It was a ready built challenge for one of these conversations.
I’m trying to find my favorite of these screenshot conversations, but for now it escapes me.

Yes, we have such a rich variety of styles, inspirations, abilities and even interpretations of what is a “short story”.
