I give out guild tabbards!
Following on my last surprise whisper from a reader the other day (yes I know I haven’t posted in days.. I’ll give you my boss’ email later and you can take it up with him, something about being busy…), I got another whisper today.
Unlike last time where it was a long time reader, 1st time meeter, this was a 1st time reader and 2nd time meeter.
Apparently my guild mates haven’t been doing a good enough job because he has been /who Armaggedons Coming and getting no result… shame on you other 16 members of the guild… (OK, 14.. Balth and Katt are on more often than I am I think…).
But I did finally come online and on my way to Wintergrasp got a whisper…
My hello was one of those cautious ones… even my yes was a little cautious, but I threw caution to the wind after that.
Funny aside.. when I mentioned to my mates that someone I wrote about had tracked me down… the 1st question was…
To your house?
I thought it was funny.. so laugh or shut up already!
Do you remember Caronde?
No, well truth be told, neither did I immediately, but it didn’t take me long to work it out.
That sweet looking farm boy in the picture above is none other than:
I wrote about Caronde in a post that was all about Dishonor, yet the dishonor wasn’t on Caronde, in fact I honored him for the crazy battles that we had. He was the bright spot in that BG for me… sure dying sucks, but it’s nice to get a kill against the one that has been slaughtering you all game.
As narcissistic as the next Gnome
He googled himself!
How Naracastic is that?
I mean I would never Google myself… ummm yeah OK… just because Google: Gnomeaggedon is great is my start page on my browser doesn’t mean I am vain… OK? got it?
It was Gnomeaggedon is the Greatest… but I never got any results…
I am in the Urban dictionary.. surely I should get more Gnomeaggedon is Great hits?
He (OK, I am assuming that Caronde is a she… Caronde could be a she, but due to literary convenience and pure laziness on my part, I am going to call him a him), not just Googled himself, but came after me… in a nice way (No Gnome munching going on Eversor.).
He didn’t just roll a character on Aman’Thul, but somehow managed to get to Dalaran under his own steam!
So what is this miserly blogger to do… I will reaching into that box of Armaggedon’s T-shirts and autographed collectors edition photos and…. hang on, I don’t have them…
How about a guild tabbard?
Yes, and a guild invite to go with it…
Then we can do the screenshot too…
But wait, there’s more…
So we chatted for a fair while before he had to log, but before he left he gifted me the names of a couple of PvP Mages worthy of note, so let me gift them to you.. I will even include a video (because I know how frustrating it is to see the gap in the page where the video is and know you can’t watch it because the boss can smell fear…)
There is one problem… they are Frost Mages… paaah!
Speaking of Wintergrasp…
I was… I mentioned it above, and my last post was about it… anyway…
There is this one little thing that gets up my cute Gnome Gnose… Spirit Healers.
I love them and all, but… there is this one strange mechanic in Wintergrasp that really gets up my nose.
- Imagine you are attacking a workshop which is already enough under your control that you get to use the Spirit Healer there.
- Imagine you die (I don’t have to, but you might)
- Imagine you die just as the Spirit Healer releases everyone… just not you.
- Imagine you watch the Rez timer count down from 29 to 1
- Imagine your teammates capture the workshop just as the Rez timer reaches 1
- Imagine the Spirit Healer saying…
Right, I’m off.. I’ll leave you with Fred, he’ll look after all your needs…
- Imagine seeing the Rez timer start again… 29… 28… 27…
- Imagine how many walls I can punch holes in over 30 seconds
We won the workshop – why not just throw me a Rez before you go off on your lunch break!
Hopefully the Spirit Healers union wont black ban me… but waiting for a minute to Rez?
PS: I didn’t punch any walls.. I’m not that kind of guy.. and they are my walls that I would have to fix… anyway, I did say Imagine!
Back to Work!
OK, time for me to turn in so I can hit work early tomorrow… so much work and only 7 days in a week.
Thanks again Caronde for dropping by, I am honored that you made such and effort.
Spirit Healers… pick up the slack!
PS: Do you like the way I dressed the nasty Forsaken Horde killing machine up in a Gnome tabbard… let’s call that another point to me!
Gnomer and Out!
