There was a group last night
LF1M SFK Holiday boss DPS
Squidly went to request an invite but right at the last moment, Gnomeaggedon hip n’ shouldered Squidly away from the key board and said...
Squidly: brb as Mage
Gnomeagggedon: <– Squidly
Gnomeaggedon joins the party.
Gnomeaggedon rolls on [Toxic Wasteling]
Phred receives [Toxic Wasteling]Gnomeaggedon rolls on [Toxic Avengers Mask]
Gnomeaggedon receives [Toxic Avengers Mask]
Did Gnomeaggedon feel guilty for robbing Squidly?
Hell No!
Did Squidly feel ripped off by Gnomeaggedon?
Hell yeah!
As I didn’t intend to run the event anyway, Squidly didn’t get a chance to rub a big red love rocket in Gnomeaggedon’s face (and Gnomeaggedon will never let it happen!)
There was one chance and Squidly didn’t get it.
Is there a pecking order in your stable of characters?
Gnomer and Out, Squidly is taking his bat and ball and going home to Exodar!

Balth is firmly seated in the #1 driver’s seat.
The only problem is that there are now 2 Balthazarios. Balth-Velen isn’t really sure WHAT is going on, but he knows he’s been getting left alone for rather long periods.
Balth-Aman’Thul is still a bit of a n00b, and thinks his tanking is literally that: him being a motorized cannon shooting moster. (which explains him holding that digeridoo up to his forhead all the time) He is vaguely aware that he is the new kid and is prone to sulking about it.
The worst part is that he hasn’t gotten used to hanging upside down off the bottom of the earth yet. For that, he holds a deep dark jealous hatred for Balth-Velen
My paladin is very jealous I somewhat prefer my death knight for randoms and that it is only burnout on heroics that prevents me from farming them endlessly.
One of my characters absolutely hates the other one. My rogue, who I devoted my first year to, was skeptical when I started the priest:
“You’re sure this is just for fun? She’s just your alt, right?”
My rogue shouldn’t have listened. I gave my real name, my very identity, to my Priest – something that I had denied my first character.
“Ok, I know you ran Karazhan on your Priest. That was just one time right?”
“Well if you’re going to keep raiding as your Priest I demand to see equal raid time thanks. Oh, and she’s not allowed to max out any Professions. When you want food – you come to ME!”
Now my Rogue sits in Dalaran waiting for the occasional locked box or cooking request. And she hates me. She hates my Priest even more.
“I look like a *clown*. This is undignified and I hate you.”
Chriara, I’m sooooo sorry.
Watch what happens if/when your Rogue cones back into vogue.
For a while there Gnomeaggedon was locked away… Every time my mouse wavered over him on the login screen, Squidly would pipe up…
“I can DPS…
I can heal, and the Gnome can’t do that (as much as ge parrots on about it).
I can get you out of the LFD quicker than you can say the short Mage’s name.
I have lovely lightning and…
Whoo look… Shiney sticks!”
When Gnomeaggedon got free, he took it out on Squidly…
“Ohhh look, instead of getting you emblems and shiney gear for you to do raiding, he is taking me around the old world doing 3 copper quests…
Guess who is the favorite Gnome now!”
I’d like to talk a little more about your characters that you’ve created. Here…lie down on this couch. Now…tell me about your mother. The toon that gets the most play is whoever is closest to having badges for a new piece of gear. I’m greedy like that.
I like to think of my toons as aspects of my ego, so they’re not quite in direct conflict, but they do sometimes suffer one over the other.
Main (DK80 dps/tank) gets the most love, as what is not to love about tank and dps.
Alt druid 80 boomkin / tank; a switch from the above, and clicky-critty fun.
Alt paladin 70 dps / tank; as a hangover from when he was a main – its the toon I secretly would like to maintain, but is just not as much fun.
Alt Priest 80 dps – and I always feel like I should heal, but hate healing.
Alt Warlock 72 dps – boom! burn! die!, but hard to fit in with all of the above.
Ah. I have a proper main (Koch – the warrior) and all the others are just lesser support characters.
I mean, the shaman, the warlock and the deathknight exist solely to farm primordial saronite for my mains shiny armour. The druid gets to raid now and then, but that’s only because there are never enough tanks in the guild.
And.. they better like it. They had their moments – usually while leveling them for a while, but they are not the same.
It also _may_ possibly show a little in the achievement points. Koch is hovering around 7200, the closest second is somewhere around 2300. Or so. Roughly. I don’t even bother checking.
My main really hates my alt…my alt is an Orc ! Dwarves can’t stand them.
I have a hard time balancing out the time spent trying to gear up both (and then there is Flargan who is also 80) as I am such an altaholic it depends on what I feel like playing, and whehter or not I feel like being an ally or a horde member that night. I feel more for the guilds that I am in, as time I spend in one faction keeps me away from socializing with the friends I have made in the other.
my alt hates my main. prelimar is my main, and he gets all the attention. my poor alt sits in stormwind, in the visitor’s center, waiting for something to do, even if it’s just storing something in the bank. at least he has his baby blizzard bear to keep him company.
My main (hunter) definitely hates my alt! (resto druid) I spent months tinkering and inspecting various hunter specs to maximize DPS, carefully analyze and weigh any potential upgrades and gear purchases, and fight tooth and nail to get into VOA or pug ICC raids.
Meanwhile, my resto druid zipped on up to 80 with minimal effort (was the beneficiary of recruit-a-friend), gets instant random dungeon queues and spots in raids with but a whisper, and leveled cooking during Pilgrim’s Week instead of spending days farming mats and prowling Azeroth for obscure recipes.
My main hates, HATES her younger paladin sister. Her sister was always “the pretty one” who got all the boys, all while having the image of the goody-two-shoes that paladins usually start out with.
Every time I sent over a BoA to her, Cynwise grumbled. Money was the worst, I had to route it through the banker and then explain it later.
My main didn’t hate her drunk death knight brother, but there was a lot of pity and griping about the bar tabs in Stormwind and Dalaran. Now that he’s clean and sober their relationship is much better.
Most of the other alts get a certain amount of scorn, but not the outright hate that the Paladin gets.
Syrana has love/hate relationships with several of my alts. But generally, she is quite generous with them…. and almost maternal (don’t tell her I told you that though *gulp*)
And… um…
*rereads*
“As I didn’t intend to run the event anyway, Squidly didn’t get a chance to rub a big red love rocket in Gnomeaggedon’s face (and Gnomeaggedon will never let it happen!)”
Are they… umm.. have they been in some mature machinima we don’t know about?
My main, hates all of my alts, I have loads and I mean loads! lol
