Apparently I am so happy with a GMs service that I need to tell Blizzard to get the guy a soda and a pizza.
So I was thinking, who would like to buy one and go drop it off?
Maybe it’s a good opportunity for Ixobelle to get past the front gates… Just add a few CVs into the pizza box Ixo!
Mind you it took a while before I was visited by Cherigor, about 20 hours. Which I guess explains why I have never before had an in-game encounter with a GM. I am sure they were busy.. I doubt Cherigor was pushing me down the list or anything… I don’t think he realized I had a Gnome main at that point.
DND: Go on give me a challenge!
I had just started on a Nexus run when the Deadly Boss Mods DND message flashed up.
He asked if it was a bad time…
I’m only healing I responded.
Earth Shield, Riptide, Chat to GM.
I did have to get the party to give me a minute while I went in search of a screenshot, but apart from that my conversation was wipe free.
Wipe free, but not laugh free.
I’ve read enough silly GM stories to know these folk have a great sense of humor, so I wasn’t going to let him go without some fun.
I can’t dance, sing or recite poetry but I can and do blog, so I made sure Cherigor knew that he was getting a mention… I must admit I didn’t expect the response I got…
I guess it is no surprise, everyone likes a bit of Gnome at the end of their boot, it’s even built into the game!
I wonder if it is Gnomeicular Vehicleslaughter if you achieve this while playing a Gnome?
Cherigor fixed up my issue pretty quickly, the not-master-looted-and-rotting-on-the-bosses-body-item was sent in the mail.
He only had one last question for me…
Might there be anything else I may be of assistance with tonight?
Didn’t take me long to think of something…
Can you send my legendary Gnome Mage item please?
Apparently I am a little further back in the queue…
Ahh well, at least I had a good time, something to distract me from my Earth Shield-Riptide non-spam.
So if anyone is in the area, or thinking about dropping by Blizzard, make sure you drop off a beer soda and a pizza for Cherigor.
VoA Away!
Ohhh BTW, completely off topic, only tenuously linked by the location the item dropped (that required a support call).
I have now healed VoA25 and VoA10.
VoA25: Apart from the nearly lost item in VoA, nothing to report.
The VoA 10 run was preceded with me waiting LFG. I was doing other stuff, but I was amused by the Raid Leader spamming asking for people for a VoA10 run.
I was already in the “queue” for VoA10, so I was in no rush to answer his call.
The call was of course for a GEARED player who links achievements. In fact he was specifically looking for a Resto Shaman.
Anyway I thought I would just wait and see. I knew my presence was obvious and I wondered how long it would take before he asked me personally.
It took about 1/2 hour of spamming LFG, Trade and General before he asked me personally.
I’m geared and experienced, but that’s none of your business!
I told him my spellpower and that I didn’t have VoA10 achievement. I had however done in several times on my main as well as VoA25 on Squidly.
Apparently that was good enough for him, although the other healer did ask if I had my Resto gear on.
In the end we got all the bosses down without any issues. I only did 38% of the healing whereas the geared Tree healer did 58%. Mind you my overhealing was only 15% compared to his 75%.
Like HoL the other day, the big take away is that I can do VoA. I also know that I was MT healing and group healing in Naxx10 the other day (as in, I am not sure what the priest was doing, but I decided it would be easier if I just covered the whole raid).
I dare say it can only get better, once I remember where my other heals are keybound.
Just because I deprived you yesterday I am going to keep on writing.
I was sick yesterday so I didn’t post. Actually i have been sick all week. People at work told me it was just hayfever, but after spending most of the weekend in bed and sleeping for 14 hours last night… I don’t think so.
So rather than chewing out another post, I will just keep tacking on the end of this one.
I love Wintergrasp, but the wait feels like a doctor’s office.
Armageddon’s Coming Guild doubles in size!
I got a few new recruits over the weekend, you might know their names (or varients thereof).
Matticus dropped by at my insistence.
We had one of those annoying little level 1 Rogues jumping about… I felt like giving him a backhander when he challenged me to a duel (just as I did with OOMaggedon), but Matticus told him we were doing a drug deal…
Heeey Maaaan… I need pixels… got any pixels?
I told the fool rogue that he was in the presence of the old gods.. he thought were were there to raid… Raid Dun Morogh? I should have told him we were send by his mother to tell him it was bed time… maybe I will next time.
Recruiting on the Twisted Nether
I opened up recruiting while the latest TNB was being recorded. It was an interesting one. As usual those that didn’t join the live chat missed out on a lot of stuff (apart from my guild recruitment). I sort of get another mention… well without giving too much away, you will get to hear about my Convict past… maybe present and we all now have a new way of saying goodbye.
Anyway, Syrana made her way Downunder specially to met me.
We did a bit of cyber… she was amazed at the size of my… ummm.. staff.
As an added bonus she got a piece of pie.
Pie wanted us to get a room… but if Ironforge can’t handle 2 Gnomes mating… I don’t know what can.
Pie brought me up to speed on the other Hordies… Lily is keeping Sylus occupied, and Fikkle has a new hunter’s pet in training, which is apparently tearing up the house and giving him all sorts of Poo Quests… Sounds like both Sylus and Fikkle have their hands full… lucky that WoW prepared them so well with all the poo quests.
The Best Kind of Nightclubs
Jong is bringing us up to speed on the best kind of night clubs. While I was reading through I noted he was coping from flack from a Troll… some guy called an-TEE-jen, who has a big mace and will raid. I went there to stick up for Jong only to realize that I kinda like this guy… He might gain enough respect for me to call him AN-teh-jen. Great mix of WoW and non-Wow… actually even the non-Wow weaves itself back to WoW. The Attitude isn’t quite as strong as Jong’s, but there is still great potential.
So as they say on TNB…
FIVE!
Gnomer and Out, Squidly and Stout!

TL;SR: Too Long; Still Read.
Too long?
It’s been a while since I wrote an epic screenshot post…
Still Read!
That’s the spirit!
What Gnomer lacks in height, he makes up for in length…
of his posts.
Touché!
One thing that has always amazed me is that weapons don’t scale down for Gnomes… I’m not complaining of course, I am used to dragging my manly staff through the dirt
Oh and Gnome DKs…all win. I really want to change his name to Piemageddon.
Not too late to start again and save your cash for something more important (like Aussie beers).
Actually, I was thinking, not that I want to get rid of you or anything…
The BindonEquip podcast folk have a guild (pants on head) that now has 3 components… Aussie, US and UK… Formed out of listeners to 3 podcasts, so they have a 24/7 presence.
You still get to whoop us in the BGs with your godlike ping, but there are bodies to kill with.
I was quite mesmerized by your staff, it’s true >.>
It wasn’t so much it’s size, rather what I could do with it!
Five is big for a Gnome right?
Five Five *waves*
Five is more than a handful for us Gnomes… just the way we like it.
Five Five *waves*
“but after spending most of the weekend in bed and sleeping for 14 hours last night…”
IT’S SWINE FLU! FWOURGHAFGHUIWFWOORF!
*tears hair out*
*hurls rocks*
Well Melbourne was the epicenter for Swine flu for a while back, which meant our $200 Bali and Thailand weekend trips might get extended to 2 weeks with quarantine…
Sure my ex-wife was suspected of having it, so all her friends ran in terror and refused to come to Odin’s birthday party (more cake for me).
But I think this may have been a case of Beer flu… I would like to think that anyway…
I wonder how much trouble I would be if I actually drove the 20 min to take soda and pizza over to Blizzard with your post in hand.
If it was not for their 10 foot fence and security booth I think I would on your behalf.
Now that would be legendary… A Lock delivering a pizza on behalf of a Mage to Blizzard…
Screenshots (ok photos) or it didn’t happen.
Doubt you would get in trouble, but it would make an epic post to rival Ixo’s Blizzard series.
I wonder if their would be legendaries waiting in our mailboxes the next day?
Squidly could use that collect-the-set legendary…
I know Blizz is in Anaheim somewhere, and that’s about 20 minutes from my house, but where are they located in Anaheim?
Beer & pizza would be a good investment… lol.
Hope you feel better Gnomeaggedon!
And look on the bright side: if it IS swine flu, you can reflect back on it in years of yore… “back in ’09, we had this horrid epidemic. I managed to beat it off…”
I don’t know, but I’m sure Ixo can give you directions… Maybe you will recognise it from his photos
Who ever goes, better take Cherigor and his coworkers a dozen pizzas and a couple of cases of beers… I dare say they need them today
AH scans are teh slow. Seriously, I want to do everything faster, stronger and mo’ betta’
Of course this is AH scan the day of a major patch, when my US servers aren’t up. And noon server time.
Wait, Gnomer why aren’t you playing at noon. err 11 AM your time. slacker
If only I was too sick to be at work….
Then I would be well enough to stare at the login screen
