This is Odin’s (my son) favorite phrase when he does something we have warned him about, only to have it come true.

G.N.O.O.B. Rage
I expressed my frustration at Alliance EoTS groups the other day. Their practice of grabbing one tower then fighting over a flag that will give crap returns has made me frustrated and angry… Angry enough that I now wear a deserters buff rather than bang my head on my desk in frustration.
I just want to clearly show you what happens when one side grabs and controls the 4 towers & ruins.
Yeah, it’s not a happy tale, from my perspective anyway. Still I guess you are thinking
That’s not so unusual, you just need to see Fikkle’s battleground stats to know that the Alliance are weak as piss and the Horde are OP.
The thing is, we aren’t and they aren’t.
What they did do this game that makes it slightly different to the usual Horde drubbing is…
They captured all 4 towers and ruins. They did this right at the beginning of the battle and confined us to our spawning rock… Then picked us off one at a time as we tried to get off.
Some achievement
I don’t know how many achievements they picked up, but they got at least one
Dear Alliance,
See, I told you!
Wake up and play the game. I dare say that the more experienced players have now reached a level of frustration that has stopped them from joining the BGs… Because I know I am close!
Alterac Folley
While I am letting off steam…
To the 35 players in AV last night that were saying:
We are Alliance, we always lose!
It’s the noobs that don’t know how tp play the game
It’s the no-skill noobs that rush Drek, they have no idea!
We are Alliance, we always lose!
Let me tell you something…
We are Alliance and we DON’T always lose!
If there is one battleground we win more than any other it is Alterac Valley.
If you can’t win Alterac Valley you are the lowest of the low asshat noobs that play the game!
If I didn’t know any better (and I stated as much at the time) I would think you were all Horde that did a server transfer.
- You do not win AV by protecting Balinda.
- You do not win AV by the Lemmig parade at Galv
- You do not win AV by fighting in little groups of 2 or 3 in the middle of the map
- We will not win by rushing Drek when our reinforcements are less than 100 and the Horde’s are more than 400… that’s just too little too late
You are pathetic creatures when your highest healer, this modest resto shaman, captures more towers and graveyards that you DPS.
Seriously.. this is yet another case of…

Out of Mana, but not Out of Megan
I have been tardy in not publicizing this more.. well apart from bumping Matticus from my front page feeds and replacing him with the dangerous duo at FORBEARANCE.
Megan of Out of Mana fame knows the truth about faction and server transfers just so you get the upper hand.
I’m very excited that she is snuggling up with Jong at JONG’S FORBEARANCE.
Too of my favorite bloggers.
Two of the most awesomest players and writers in the game… all in one place.
Welcome back Megan!

Forbearance is the most enjoyfull blog i’ve ever seen.
That’s one word I could use to describe it…
Both the Jongsta and the Megsta make me laugh till I cry… Or cry till I laugh
You may hate me for posting this, but my warrior and a guildy did this to alliance in the one EotS we got in tonight. I got the perfection and the flurry achievements… Btw, if you ever get tired of hooves, I know an arms warrior that would kill (ha!) for a pocket resto shaman to go with my pocket holy pally and shadow priest… Talk about unstoppable!
Stay Hordecore
Fik
I have been contemplating dragging my 50-something tauren druid out of retirement…
I was thinking of faction & server transfer… but I really don’t want a Nelf…
If my circumstances change and I can play at silly hours of the day/night… maybe I will stay Hordepaw and come visit… just as long as you don’t pack up and transfer servers in the middle of the night to escape me
Don’t hold you breath, tho…
Ohhh and no I don’t hate you… Gnomeaggedon has had his fair share of destruction derbys (in fact I got that achievement the other day) over the Horde…
Still it hurts every time you get into a BG, especially with the current extended wait, to find that the idiots you are playing with couldn’t give a toss about the mechanics of the BG.
It would be like tuning up to Ulduar Hardmode only to find your 24 guildies decided to run on their recently dinged 80 alts, in unenchanted, ungemmed level 60 greens… then spent the night searching out the puddles of green to stand in just so they could show they took the most damage for the night, therefore must be hardcore!
It’s kinda funny how I first heard of Jong when he guestblogged at OOM, only to see OOM shut down mere days later, then see Megan appear over at Jong’s a few months later.
But I don’t care. I’ll take it
They just fit… Not sure if it’s thier extreme quanitity (or lack thereof) of taste, or their perfectly bent senses of humor…
I don’t care where they blog, it could be the financial times for all I care… I will read
My solution to the BG equivalent of standing in stuffs was to just gather up my guildies and pester them til they pvp’d with me… Pretty easy to roflstomp a bg with even only a partial premade…
Zupa and Mr. Tree are keen… I’d like to rope one or two more in… Come on Mr. Z!
1/2 a WSG group would be a slaughter house!
Hmm, your battlegroup’s Alliance sounds like my battlegroup’s Horde.
That said, the defending Bal/Galv thing can work — but only if you WIPE the other team and then grab the graveyards before they have a chance to spawn there. I’ve seen it done, twice with Alliance wiping us, and in one of the few magnificent winning AVs, with Horde wiping the entire Alliance team (it seemed like) at Galv. If you manage to throw the other team off enough, they won’t be able to recover.
Of course, it rarely, rarely works and should not be used as your main strategy.
But yeah, lately my BG’s Horde seems to lose everything. It’s not that people aren’t enthusiastic or don’t want to win, it’s just that they don’t have a freaking clue about strategy and won’t listen to the people who do, and so we get outplayed. :-/
“We” would defend Bal… great no worries…
Couldn’t get to Galv… OK no worries…
The problem was thes players must have come straight from Dalaran.. obviously they weren’t getting enough attention doing laps there, so they came to AV and did laps around the field of strife.
It was almost as if 30 undisciplined guildies decided to just play “do laps in the field of strife”.
I almost could have coped with that (OK, not under any circumstances), but they would just die.
I would be heading back to the front, look up, sea of dots, OK, I can ride on through… get to field of strife… One dot… my dot… covered in Lock dots…
Nutters!
I think it’s that both Megan and Jong have larger than life deliveries, Megan using the upmost cynicism and Jong using what can only truly be described as, I kid you not, supaflyretpally.
OOM was probably the reason I started following blogs and why I started one myself, props to Megs.
