Well…
Very little, but well.
- Hellfire Peninsula (explored 8/18, quests: 19/80)
- Zangarmarsh (explored 16/18, quests: 22/54)
- Terrokar Forest (explored 9/21, quests: 14/63)
and that’s it!
It’s not like I was comprehensive in my exploration or questing either.
No question I am lacking the goods:
- Gear (Average iLevel: 85.91)
- Skinning 333 / 375
- Cooking 100?
- Fishing: 150?
- Herbalism 219 / 300
- Experience (Apparently I have done 43 instances vs 127 battlegrounds)
Now I am going to be stretched through Azeroth, Outland and Northrend while I bring everything up to speed
Stopping at 1%
I got a whisper 5 minutes before I logged last night from my tank buddy Viking…
WHEN are you coming to NR?
I replied:
in 3%
The WSG I was playing ended and I informed him I would join him in 1%… but that 1% would have to wait.
It’s not just the 3,906 XP!
I know myself well enough. Well enough to know that a few mobs later, with the glitter surrounding myself, I would promise myself that I would log…
After I do a few more things…
- Learn my talents
- Train
- Fix my toolbars
- Travel to Northrend
- Take screenshots
- Edit screenshots
- Write a blog post
No, 1% is good enough… There is always tomorrow.
Too many Tanks, too little time
So I caught the boat, I’ve set my hearthstone, I’ve trained, I’ve repaired and now I’m LFG.
At this point one thing I’m not short of is Tanks. Viking & I have been keeping regular contact and as you have already read is eagerly awaiting my arrival.
Zupa can’t wait to have a pocket healer for the BGs and I dare say will stoop low enough to instance with me as well.
Of course I expect that LFG will be filled with desperate characters as well.
Zero grind Northrend?
Does this mean as a healer I will have little time to put my grinding gear and spec on?
Does this mean the the most exploration and exclamation mark accepting I will be doing is Flight Masters?
If it does, it will be a different leveling experience to Gnomeaggedon who basically didn’t set foot in an instance until level 80.
Will I ever get back to Azeroth and Outland to level my professions, or are they facing as much action as 7/10 Outland zones?
Still land bound
I have only logged on long enough to get 4,000 xp, train and set my hearthstone.
No cold weather flying for me… yet
No that will have to wait until my next login, assuming I remember to login to Gnomeaggedon 1st.
Ohh well, looks like the Northrend grind, the one I rolled Squidly to escape, is on again…. /sigh

grats mang. have fun in northrend.
my 2nd paladin just hit outlandp; hopefully i can get out of here in couple weeks or so.
2nd Paladin… that’s love…
Yeah I’m sure you will cruise through
Tips for Squidly :
Buy those LeatherWork (Mail) BoE Suit,
you can start the suit at level 68, thru, 72.
It’s much much better than most of the quest reward…
Since the leather is much cheap now, it’s a definitely a good buy… (I got one for my Shaman before as well)
At least check the price of material if you are not convinced
Grat on Northern
I had a quick look and it appears that even my mid level gear is beating that which I can wear from the crafted racks…
Mind you I have discovered that the heirlooms do their best to confuse the topic… more on that next week
Oops, I didn’t had any heirlooms (except shoulder),
may be that’s why…
It’s nearly Tier 4 equivalent, so it should be good enough if you have spare slot for that…
What I have discovered is that the heirlooms appear better… but only because they have more of stats that matter a bit less.. So I am thinking now of moving over to gear that will make me more fragile while packing a bigger punch for longer… but of course the xp bonus will be going with them
Soon my pally will be hitting outland too, I hope this weekend.
not too long before the news is that your pally is hitting northrend
GRATZ!!!
We started poking around NR when we were at level 68, and did a couple quests in Howling Fjord. This was just over the last weekend. We’ve since dinged 70.
The only problem is that I’m still about 1,000 gold short on Epic flight and 7 levels and another 1,000 gold short for cold weather flight.
Overall, I’m enjoying what I’ve seen of NR a LOT more than Outlands. Especially Hellfire and a couple others.
TURTLE BOATS FTW!!! lol
Squidly is lucky for having a short sugar daddy in Gnomeaggedon… the hardest part was swimming through Lagaran to the flight trainer to pick up the tome
Congrats Squidly!
go go go!
I have been too lazy to lvl up my hunter, he is at 53 now, lvling in bgs
the 1st two levels just zipped by… now I am in a grinding pattern it seems.
