Level 58 with a bullet, or is that totem. I’m officially acknowledged in Outland by the quest givers and they have lots for me to do.
Before I begin I would just like to thank a few of my supporters:
Level 58 with 360 XP to spare… Heirloom items FTW!
What’s with the D?
Normally it’s AV where people are cursing D for being too strong, but my WSG to bring in level 58 left me scratching my head.
- 10 alliance in BG.
- Both flags being held.
- Score is 0/0
- 3 minutes left on the clock.
The solitary DK and myself trying to get the flag back off the 4 Horde, 5 if you include the Hunter’s big red kitty, were going no where fast and copping flack from D about not coordinating our attacks. We would have if we weren’t getting picked off individually.
I couldn’t even get a heal off!
I finally convinced D that 8 on D was just a little too much. It didn’t help much, but it helped a little.
I finally got the message across, at 0/0 all it would take was for them to kill our FC and the game was lost.
1 minute later we capped… Soon after we won 1/0.
A strong D is all well and good, but not when the game is deadlocked. That’s when you need some balance, a little more O to go with the strong D.
Immediately after that cap someone said.
There, game won for the alliance!
I pointed out that with 2 min left in the clock there was every chance we would still loose. I’m yet to win a WSG where the flag caps are locked.
People keep saying, we have had our two flags longer, we will win.
Yet every time it’s a Horde win!
I wonder if it’s a Horde win based on kills, flag returns etc, or whether Horde gets the same result.
Is a draw in WSG a lose-lose situation?
Ramps I hate you well
I guess my 1st priority now is getting some instances done. I only have one piece of gear above level 50 and quite a few below 50, so I may be shoveling Sh err snow uphill, but I’ll give it a go.
Ramps isn’t the only part I hate
Actually it occurs to me that it isn’t any specific instance in Outland that I dislike, it’s the whole place.
Maybe that’s because Gnomeaggedon had to grind the quests, instances and mobs so hard. I lost a lot of sleep in Outland trying to improve, to catch up to my mates and more often than not take down a single boss.
For a while there it was taking us about 3 weeks to clear the instances, the regular instances. I think it took us 5 weeks to clear Shadow Lab for the 1st time (and only after 3 of us did it successfully with other groups 1st).
Whole nights spent trying to get past the 1st boss in Labs. Every guide on the web mocked us with stories of how easy it was, yet we weren’t alone at that blockage.
New Toon New Experience?
Ahh well, we will see if it’s a different experience for Squidly. I don’t have to stay till 70 and neither do I have to grind raiding gear in the gods forsaken place.
Maybe Gnomeaggedon will make a reappearance. Maybe he will help groups get through the heroics. Due to the quirk of achievement timing he has no credit for the Outland Heroic instances (although credited for most of the regulars).
New paths, new adventures, new friends.
Of course 60% of them will probably be DKs… Not sure whether you can call them friends.
Gnomer and Out!
