Hands up if you’ve ever been oneshot!
Come on, admit it…
I expect every reader’s (except Jong of course, he does the one-shotting in this game) hand should be in the air right now.
You, yes you! I don’t care if your boss is in the same room as you, put your hand up.
No! Not a half arsed hand at shoulder height acknowledgment, I want you to put your hands in the air and wave them like you just don’t care!
Ok, next question…
Who likes being oneshot?
Mmm, not so many Hands up now…
There are times I don’t mind being oneshot, for instance:
1) Against a boss when I’m the last Gnome standing out of 10 or 25.
2) If and when I encounter Jong in the streets of Ironforge, I will proudly puff out my little Gnome chest past my big Gnome belly and take that oneshot like the Gnome I am.
Hell, I’ll install Frapps, just to keep a record of the hundred one -shots and the hour of tea-bagging, publish it here and send the link directly to Mike Schramm so it hits front page of wow.com.
I will get my tombstone engraved with:
Here lies Gnomeaggedon, oneshot by Jong (repeatedly) and loving it!
3) There’s one other way I would be prepared to be oneshot!
Joining the ranks in the halls of Valhalla
In doing so I will join the illustrious ranks of those that have gone before me.
The likes of Larisa, Euripedes, Matticus, Tobold, even Mike Schramm and many more.
I have been oneshot and join my fellow bloggers in the hallowed halls of Grinding to Valhalla (look at that… Back home with Odin!).
Needless to say, I am feeling particularly honored right now, I feel like I have just dinged Exalted in the WoW Blogsphere.
So if you don’t think I talk about myself enough here, go check out my (as usual) long winded answers to the questions put to me.
While you are there check out the other heroes of the blogshpere that have been called by Odin and carried by the Valkyries to the hallowed halls were we fight all day and drink all night.

grats gnomy. i read the whole thing even though i wasn’t really interested. I didn’t know your blog’s been around only for a year. i hope you keep playing and armaggedon’s coming hangs around.
Thanks Jong… that’s what I like.. honesty!
Yeah, only one year.. you were one of the 1st to contribute to my 1st blogday celebrations.
Not going anywhere yet…
Congratulations! Feel proud an honored. It isn’t every blogger that is chosen for a oneshot at that place. So a small correction is in place her: I haven’t been oneshotted. The oneshot interviews are made on the initiateve by the man behind Valhalla. He contacts bloggers he finds interesting.
I’ve never been contacted by him. So I used the other option, filling in a huge questionnair, chapter by chapter. Those questions are to be honest not as good or well put as the oneshot interviews. At least not when it concerns me, since I had to just answer a ton of questions displaying my complete lack of experience of other gaming. “No, never tried etc etc”. Many of them didn’t feel all that relevant to get a picture of my blogging.
But… well I’m there. I did what I could to get a spot in Valhalla. I grinded the questionnairs, which any blogger is free to do. Even though I’m not one of the chosen, like you are. I’m not oneshotted. But I’m dwelling in one of the corners and possibly it can lead to that some lost night wanderer accidently will slip into my place.
And I’m just a little bit envious.
Ahhh but Larisa, I’m sure it was purely your impatience to get off that Hotstreak Pyroblast into the blogsphere that prevented you gaining the invitations.
I know I would certainly oneshot you before me… any day!
In reality it sounds like you did grind your way to Valhalla… sure my corpse was picked from the battlefield that is the twisted nether, but you made your own path!
Wow, Gnome! that’s awesome.
how do you manage to be so prolific? It’s all I can do to churn out a couple of posts a week when I’m on. And when I’m off, I’m lucky if I post a few times a month. A couple of posts in a 40 minute train ride… amazing!
Brain dumping… and an iPhone… it was significantly harder when I was pen & paper on the train, followed my 2 fingers transcription later…
I guess I am just in the habit now, and as I often say, if I loose my 1st draft, the 2nd attempt is no where near as good…
But it varies… generally it would only be one post… but then I think I have done as many as 4… and I know I did 3 the other day.
Gratz!
ty!
Congratz! I feel like such a noob web-blogger, I had no idea what Grinding to Valhalla was!
I am ashamed.
I do remember back when Randolph started the Grinding to Valhalla blog, but I must admit it dropped off my radar until Euripedes was Oneshot…
So don’t be ashamed… there are so many quality blogs out there, it’s easy to lose one
Welcome to Valhalla. Don’t drink My Mead or we’ll have issues.
Pffft… keep you mead!
I have a direct line to Odin… he know’s where my beers are kept, and know when to bring me one.
True story….
One day he came home from child care and proudly proclaimed how he and his friend had sat down and drunk some beers…
Imaginary beers Daddy!
My wife was NOT impressed….!
I had to go out into the back yard and quietly crow and pump my hands in the air…
Gratz Gnomer! I feel honored to be holding a piece of your soul.
Treat it well…. not that I need to tell you that!
