Maybe if I just twink my fingers at this angle I will get the desired result…
Mmm nope, that didn’t send me where I want to be.
Maybe if I hold my left leg in the air, while shaking my left hand, wriggling my right fingers and chant the required phrase…
Mmmm, everything looks the same, well except me.
I appear to be a pale imitation of myself… is this the look of success?
What’s this? A random party invite already?

Mmmm, the name is familiar, a sure sign of success?
Let’s just see what this fellow Mage looks like…
- Gnome – check
- Female – Check
- Pink Pigtails – Check
- Mage – Check
- Larisa by name – Check
Yep, she’s the one I have been looking for!
I may be a powerless imitation of my real self, but I stand before Larisa in her full glory.
What a lucky Gnome I am, as usual taking advantage of someone else’s misfortune. She couldn’t raid because her PC was on the fritz, so my screen was filled with whispers before it had even had the chance to fully log on…
Yay for Larisa!
My cries of joy quickly changed to cries of sadness… Larisa had something to share with me…
She got the Scorchling on her second Ahune run… she didn’t get it on her 1st run because… well because someone else won it!
So I have killed Ahune now countless times and the Scorchling hasn’t even dropped once… so I haven’t even been given the opportunity to loose the roll…
But really, this sadness was completely overwhelmed by my joy at seeing this little pink haired Gnome… as I mention, I hardly ever see any female Gnomes, let alone pink haired ones…
Hang on, what’s that….
More pink pigtailed Gnomes… Amazing… never seen one before, let alone two!
Anyway, the delicate powers that allowed my transmutation across the US/EU boundaries were breaking down…
Or a pile of dishes awaited my attention…
It was time to go…
Will I return to Larisa’s Land?
Maybe, the biggest question being whether Trial Accounts are for 10 real days, or 10 played days.. but whatever the case may be, it was a pleasure to see Larisa in the pixels, if only for a short time…

One last shot for the photo album…
Until next time…
Gnomer and Out!

The odds that you would catch me were about the same as for the scorchling to drop.
So consider yourself lucky! It was really sweet, but way too short. If possible I would rather have lured you away from your dishes, heading to one of the less frequented inns in town, grabbing a couple of pints and sharing our latest misfortunes in front of the fire.
Well, another time perhaps.
Btw, I suddenly realize what I don’t like about the looks of my shoulders. They make me seem extremely tense, as if I was pulling up my shoulders up to my ears in pure fear. Which is rather the opposite the effect this meeting had on me.
You really were my Merrymaker of the night, even though the title doesn’t show on those screens.
I know I was extremely lucky… considering I mistimed the 1st attempt by about 14 hours… the stars aligned for this attempt!
I would have loved to have stayed… would have loved to have a higher level toon.. just gone and farmed somewhere mindlessly while chatting… Would have been great to raid the Horde cities for their flames.
Are you dissing 80′s shoulder pads? yeah you do look a little tense… you need my ones, they are always letting off steam…
I’m glad I made your night… I know how frustrating it is to have a misbehaving PC… I’m just glad my transmuter got me to the right place at the right time!
Awwww
Yep, it’s defintely one of those aww moments…
Two pink pigtailed gnomes? We don’t know which one is her! There’s only one way to be sure… we have to hug them both!
Naaah… I made sure my hugs were sent in the right direction… there can be only one Larisa… although she did mention the pink pigtailed Lahrisa…
so, you didn’t get the scorchling after all? man, i’m sorry about that. i really thought the drop rate was pretty high. : (
i’m tickled because i actually reached my epic flying this weekend – complete with a magnificent flying carpet. too bad i didn’t realize you couldn’t fly over dalaran, and on my inaugural flight i was unmounted, floated down, missed dalaran, and fell into crystalsong forest… oh well, good memories, lmao.
Ahh it’ OK… can’t have it all… and I don’t want the Greedy Goblin thinking I am just talking up my fail to increase my networking…
I guess I will just have to farm MgT to get the fiery bird as a consolation prize…
Actually I picked up an item from Ahune that is probably more Krizzly’s dream drop.. more on that another time.
Grats on the Epic Flying and Magnificent Rug!
I got stung by the Dalaran thing too… thought if I was in the stratosphere I would be OK… it’s a long drop… I seem to remember that Larisa had a similar experience…
you know, the more i think about it… if the dalaran powers-that-be can’t trust a fellow MAGE flying over the city…. i mean, COME ON!
i guess i should be thankful that at least they gave me a parachute. i don’t think my slow fall spell could have been recasted quickly enough to save me from the second leg of that nasty fall.
Those Dalaran Mages aren’t a very trusting bunch….
I’m loving those parachutes… which reminds me… the other day when I was producing my achievement spam, I set my mechanostrider on autorun, and went off to do something…
Luckily I was close enough to hear the sound that suggested I had just launched myself off a cliff… I bolted to the PC, and managed to locate my slowfall button… just in time…
The scorchling was a PITA.
I think I was present for 30+ kills and only saw it 3 times (one of which I won).
Ahh at least I wasn’t alone… but grats on being one of the lucky 3!
