Mind Control can be a dangerous thing, even in the right hands.
In the hands of the inexperienced, or worse, mischievous it can produce some unusual results.
This is a story of Real Life mind control.
The sort that occurs when you love someone unconditionally and you are prepared to do something crazy for them, no matter what others may think…
It goes a little like this:
Daddy: Odin, would you like you face painted by this nice lady?
Odin: No Daddy!
Odin: I want your face painted… I want a 1/2 butterfly on your face!
Daddy: How’s this honey?
Odin: Mmmm, I want the rest of the butterfly on the other side.
Daddy: How’s this honey, all finished?
Odin: I want you to use this blue color daddy… on your lips.
Daddy: How’s this honey?
Odin: Scary Daddy! Take it off!
But I didn’t take it off… not immediately anyway. I was with other adults, and they were going to be more embarrassed than I was… after all, I couldn’t see what everyone was staring at.
In fact, why just walk the streets looking like this when I can go to a pub, a rough pub, and have everyone looking sideways out of the corner of their eyes…
Eventually I washed it off…
Well, I tried to wash it off…
I went from insane looking Druid butterfly form into…
Death Knight reborn…
Moral of the story…
3 year old’s have a power of Mind Control unchallenged by even the strongest level 80 shadow priests… You can’t resist it and you would be a fool to try…
On the up side, people don’t stop to challenge or question a full grown man in face makeup like this… no matter what the shade of lipstick!
Gnomer and Out!

AHHHH!
I hope that an “Arrrggghhhh!” in fear, rather than an “AHHH!” I always suspected…
it’s amazing how just a little amount of paint can make a person look so completely different! wait… no green hair? O.O
WHO ARE YOU?? imposter! posting as gnomeageddon!
Yeah you weren’ expecting me to hit the barber and get a red sheen to the hair and remove the beard now were you…
Bizzarly enough, I have over different periods of my life sported both head hair and facial hair very similar to my Gnomish Avatar… always red, but beard the same, and hair the same… just at different periods of time…
omg
I don’t know if I should attribute this to:
A) The pinnacle of security and self-esteem
B) A father’s unconditional love for his son
C) Complete disregard for the safety of people with weak heart
d) A & B… I care about people with weak hearts… I just don’t enounter enough of them to fear a bad reaction… although there was apparently a very drunk guy at the Pub that kept following me around for a closer look…
My 3yo daughter uses a similar form of Mind Control. It’s kinda like the Jedi mind trick.
Baby Tank: Daddy, ice cream?
Me: You want ice cream?
Baby Tank: Oh, ok! I’d love to.
Suddenly it was my idea and I have no choice but to comply.
I hadn’t really thought about it… but Odin play similar Jedi mind tricks on me… sneaky bugger…
I still can’t believe how young they learn the fine art of lying…
Around 12 months old he completely denied hiding my wifes car keys… had all sort of suggestions on what really happened to them… of course in reality, they were where he put them
So I had gotten a bit behind in my reading…. but I was not expecting this.
I swear I won’t get behind again.. please.. please make the scary clown go away! D:
(And Odin, for the record, is win … the power he has!)
lol… glad to give you a surprise.. with a fair dose of shock…
It’s Odin that summons the clown, not his Dad… I am his toy to be done with as he pleases…
Odin is win… I fear he has been dabbling in the dark arts and has a shelf full of my soul shards…
(after last night tantrums) he certainly puts in on like a Lock
