I know I was a little negative yesterday about the Bonfire reset, but in reality that has worked out very nicely for me… it means that I have been able to clear up the Midsummer Festival in just over one day without relying on dailies…
I know I should be doing another blogday post… but that will have to wait, as I am at home looking after the young Gnome…
Anyway, when I started this midsummer jaunt, I was relying upon the great strategies of other bloggers… then at one point when I was struggling to find a bon fire, I hit WoWHead and discovered TomTom settings… Most of them were all over the place, so I started compiling them, only to find one post with most of them…
Anyway, reproduced here for your lack of searching pleasure, the Tom Tom coordinate commands for the Mid Summer Bonfires. Note, for a nice path to Alliance success, check out this blog post at Pookies Is Not A Bear.

Unlike Kriz, I love fire… I can’t imagine anything better (apart from being of Gnomeregan) than being a true representative Fire Mage and being known as a Fire Warden. So Yes I pushed this, and hand some fun and surprises along the way.

ahhh, we think alike! i don’t know if i’ll achieve the title with my casual-core schedule, but i REALLY REALLY want the flame warden title, being a fire mage and all.
one thing you didn’t seem to do — and you MUST! — is go farm ahune long enough to get your scorchling pet! what’s a fire mage (or a fire warden!) without a non-combat scorchling to follow him/her around??
I got lucky with the reset.. what is it they say about every challenge being an opportunity?
Yes I want the scorchling… I ran it with 3 guildies last night… 1st people to stick their hands up after 3 hours of spamming channels…
4 kills… 4 cloaks dropped.. nothing else…
If I get the chance, I will farm it… but I doubt that.
The rest was easy enough though
i’ve been with guildies on two occasions on two separate nights, about 15 takedowns total (we kept swapping out members on both occasions so new opportunities to summon ahune kept coming in), and i think the pet dropped 5-6 times. the drop rate seems pretty good, i think. the good thing about the cloak is that, while you can’t DE it, you can vendor it for about 3g. there’s lots of people on my server looking to pug it, so it won’t take you very long to get it if you are persistent.

I didn’t even know the titles were different between Horde and Alliance, that’s pretty cool.
Of course there are differences… though I think I prefer keeper to warden… sounds more like I am herding people away from the fire… when I want to bring more too the fire!
