Ever have Murloc Mondays?
The one’s where you crawl out of bed with a guttural thwirl…
- You spill the coffee
- You burn the toast.
- You forget to shave, or do your hair.
- Your zipper is undone
- Maybe you walk out the door and realize you still have your PJ’s on.
Maybe you walk out the door in your PJs and as the door slams you realize to don’t have your house keys on you (this happened to me once… I had to get a guy to being my spare key from work while I shivered on the side of the road… But then I wasn’t going to work that day, this the PJs.
I woke one morning recently, said Hi to Twitter, and was greeted by Strumpet101 with a
good morning sunshine
I responded Murloc style.
Monday Murloc achievement
That’s when I wondered whether I was eligible for a Monday Murloc achievement.
But then it occurred to me that was too easy..
Miserable Murloc
It would need to be a Miserable Murloc achievement, that is achieved by 5 consecutive Murloc Mondays.
Nerfed
It occurred to me quickly that this would be nerfed. It would become 5 consecutive Murloc Mornings.
Murloc Moments
Of course I could already hear the cries of outrage from the hard core miserable Murlocs, but I knew Blizzard would give in to the casually miserable…
Sure enough, Murloc Moments was the final result. 5 non-consecutive Murloc Moments that could all be completed in one day if you had the stamina, or misfortune, to stagger through 5 gurgle producing events in a day.

- Of course you could just be a gleeful goblin.
Why so happy?
Ohhh, and what’s the story with the shop keepers in Dalaran?
Why are they always so cheerful, greeting you with a hearty hello as you walk in the door?
I know it’s a fantasy world, but where are the bitchy cashiers?
I’m a grumpy customer though, I just want to smack their happy welcome off their faces.

“but where are the bitchy cashiers?” – more than enough bitches, fools, and time wasters in the actual player base; we don’t need them as npcs too.
I’d be impressed if they could at least change the default replies for the racials, given some of them are darn irrelevant. “remember the sunwell” – yup I do bud; and the blood elves pooched it!

I think we should also consider the following achievements:
It’s Just Another Manic Murloc: Complete 5 Murloc Moments within 1 hr. (wow, you’re day is REALLY sucking)
Desperately Seeking Murloc: Successfully avoid any Murloc Moments everyday for 5 days (the length of the average workweek and yeah, what sunshine pills are you taking to achieve this one?).
Punxsutawney Moments: Complete the Murloc Moments achievement for 5 consecutive days (because don’t some of our weeks seem like Groundhog Day without the ice sculptures?)
Murdock Murloc: *Meta Achievement* Successfully complete all Murloc Moment Achievements. Title “Howling Mad” (What, I’m a big A Team fan. After completing all of those achievements, who would be completely insane?)
WoW, for someone that apparently isn’t having a Murloc Monday, you sure have plenty of ideas…
Today I’m deffenately a monday murloc. My cat came in to cuddle, which is usually very nice:) However, when I checked the time it was 5 in the morning. I push him away to get some more sleep. The next thing I hear is a “sssss” from the other side of the room. Yes, he pied on the pants lying on the floor. Why? I have no idea. The door into the room with his box of sand was open and the sand was fresh. Now, hand over the achievement, cause that sure left me grumpy for hours :p

Btw, what do you get as a revard for the meta achievement? I like the idea of “Howling Mad” that Eury came up with, but what about a pet or an item?
No I am a cat lover… but I dare say that there are a few people out there that know how to make a cat gurgle like a murloc…
At least you have given inspiration for a pet… something that likes to pee…
