One Noobaggedon problem solved, knowing what new skills you just learned at the trainer.
Another Noobaggedon event caused. I will never need this with my one and only toon… Right?
Problem Solved.

My noob complaint was that when you learn new skills (generally because you have just hit a new level with new skills and talent points), visit the trainer and madly select and learn all those new skills…
You have nice flashing tabs on your spell book, but as soon as you open the tab, the flashing stops and their is no indication of what amongst the myriad of skills is new.
Enter Learning Aid.
Learning Aid is for all those times when you’ve just leveled up, retalented, or learned a new trade skill and you’ve had to page through your spellbook looking for all those new icons.
When you learn a new ability, or a new rank of an existing ability, Learning Aid pops up a window with the new ability icon in it, ready to be dragged to your Action Bar.
My new Noobaggedon moment.
I’m 80, so when am I actually going to use this mod?
So even though I know about it, I haven’t downloaded it, and I haven’t installed it, but….
After playing a fire Mage for 3 years, I respec’d (dual) to Arcane.
It’s crap, and there weren’t any new spells in my cluttered spell book.
Sure I bought some, but I couldn’t find them (and I was cursing my other mods again)
Doh! I know so little about Arcane, I wish I installed this mod first!
Stoopid Arcane!
Noobaggedon and Out!

I hope you use power auras or something similar.
trinketed icy veins missle barrage is fun
Yeah I was inspired by Luthvian’s post Power Auras Classic, but I needed some help…
I see that help has arrived, PAC, cont’d, so will be looking deeper into it.
[...] There are all these new spells and skills lurking in my spell book.. wish I knew how to find them! [...]
OH I think that looks great, especially when you are leveling a new class or spec. When I leveled my first toon, a warrior, by the time I was at 60 I had tons of crap I didn’t know I had or the wrong levels put on my bar.
This is very nice..good find little gnome.
It would be awesome for leveling… I just can’t believe I shunned it because I was 80, only to rue the decision a couple of days later.
Thanks for the mod tip!
I have icy veins set up as part of Arcane Blast so I use it every time it’s up. And I did that with POM and Arcane Power too until they fixed it where you cannot use them together.
If I don’t set up my cooldowns to use automagically while I do my rotation, I just end up not using them, so this was a good solution for me, and boosted my dps as well.
‘Tis a pleasure.
I am still a little dubious of adding cooldowns to my spell macros.
I figure that generally I want to control when they pop, or I use them.
It is all a little too random having them pop based on “random” spell key presses.
The last thing I want to do is use my Icy Veins 20 seconds before I pop all my other cooldowns….
Which is why I have created and I am abusing my IWIN macro. Basically, when I hit that button, I want any and all available cooldowns to fire off.
After that I can either mash the IWIN button, or wait until everything is ready and go sick again. (or, pop them individually as required)
when playing a unfamilar class ( anything but my main) and If I don’t tool bar any new spells as i learn them, I forget about them, and find it at 70 – will have a look at it – cheers.
So easy to miss new skills. I really should click the show only max rank option too, maybe that will reduce some clatter.
