Geez, I’m a lucky guy to bring to your attention Not 1, Not 2, but 3 awesome competitions that are running right now.
Normally I am just pimping Mage blogs, but this time round there is something in it for you beyond awesome reading.
Yep, we are talking awesome prizes!
I figure this is a good place to pimp these competitions, after all you will need to do something magical to win, and if there is one thing Mages are full of (apart from Tauren droppings), it’s magic!
I feel particularly good about this after you folk gave so much to Brigwyn’s child’s play charity auction. *
Competition #1
- Did you get your Blizzcon ticket… No?
- Didn’t bother because you couldn’t afford accommodation or airfares?
Well here’s the competition for you!
Spooner from Spooncraft is running an awesome competition with 1st prize being a Blizzcon ticket, accommodation with the Spooncraft crew and $500 towards your airfare!
Seriously, if I had a creative bone in my body, I would be entering this… $500 towards airfares would come close to paying my airfare… FROM AUSTRALIA!
Of course you have to earn your spot… Spooner is looking for a T-Shirt design, so get your crayons out folks and get to Blizzcon!
PS: Don’t mention the typo in the WoW screenshot to Spooner… Don’t know what it is, but I have to write Sppon?!?! Maybe it was the early, early time of the day that I got his message and grabbed the screenshot…
PPS: Spooner has been having a few issues with his site today… competition interest maybe? So be patient, if you don’t get through, try and try again!
Competition #2
Speaking of T-Shirt competitions, all WoW Blogger’s favorite podcasters, The Twisted Nether, are also having a T-Shirt design competition.
The winner will get a 60 day WoW game card and the joy of knowing their design will be gracing Blizzcon on the bodies of those Twisted by the Nether!
I love these folks, so while you have your crayons out, knock up another design.
Nibuca wants a Gnome involved…
I bet she was thinking Gnome Warlock, but I reckon you should give her your friendly green haired fireball throwing Gnome…
Maybe, just maybe, I will make am extra effort to have my voice heard on the podcast if you get me on Nib’s chest!
Competition #3
Final competition pimpage (for today anyway) goes to Xoxide’s World of Warcraft Video Contest.
You have 3 opportunities to win gaming mice and gaming prize packs through this competition, here’s a quote to save me typing…
Xoxide is proud to kick off the summer season with the launch of its latest contest, the World of Warcraft Video Contest. Contestants will submit entries in three separate video categories that pay tribute to the legendary Blizzard game. The categories will include LARP’ing your favorite WoW sequence, a WoW Celebrity Commercial Parody, or a Comedic Dubbed In-Game Sequence in the style of Red Vs Blue. The more ridiculous it is, the greater the chance of winning!
3 Winners Will Receive a World of Warcraft Gaming Mouse & an Exclusive Xoxide Gaming Gear Prize Package.
Contest Ends June 30th, 2009. Winners will be announced the following day.
Be sure to hit up Xoxide’s Official Contest Page for all the details on How to Enter:
Of course you will need to get more than your crayons out for this one. Make a video in one of the three categories, win and then send me your prize…
No that’s a bit unfair, just send me a link to your entry so I can pimp your awesome video skills along with your DPS!
For Teh Gnome!
Am I entering….?
Naaah… My drawing skills do involve crayons, and one day I will work my way up to stick figures. As it is, I do Odin’s drawing homework as I draw as well as a 3 year old.
The only competitions I win are those where you submit your name (and throw out the rest of the entry book so no one else can enter).
I mean my highly original and very tasty bacon recipe earned me no prize, so there really isn’t much hope for my drawing ability…
Gnomer and Out!
* ohh, I haven’t mentioned who the winning bidder of the swagdog code was….
Before I do, I just want to mention the wonderful chain that this code went through.
- I win it in a WoWDawgs competition.
- Someone won it with an awesome bid of $35.99 from the charity auction.
- That awesome someone then passed it on to a guildy!
That awesome someone has been previously mentioned as one of my favorite bloggers, and a Warlock Blogger at that!
Thanks Syrana for your awesome charity, not only donated your own prize to the auction, but bid, won and gave away (at least) one other auction item!

… SPPONER!?
LOL that’s alright man you have my eternal thanks for the support in spreading word about this contest.
It’s downright criminal right now that overnight the site is down/brokentohell as I am migrating to a new host/server.
Hush, you.
There’s been some difficulty in judging the non-Canadian/American entries, as it’s difficult (sometimes) to tell which entries came from overseas and which did not.
The number of people from Europe who have an “@gmail.com” e-mail is proving to be the source of many an awkward conversation!
For instance:
“Congratulations, you won!”
“Yay! I live in London!”
“Like… in Ontario?”
“No, silly! England!”
“Oh dear. Uhm… hmm…”
Hey Rip, yeah that would be a pain… My wife constantly cracks it about the unoriginality of Australian place names.
But seriously, I don’t think “cook bacon” actually qualifies as a recipe anyway… Well no more than “boil water” could be considered a recipe for boiled water.
I am afraid I am easily amused, especially by myself. As long as that post of yours exists, I will be referibg back to it, every couple of weeks, now and forever.
Woot SYRANA!!
[...] You see, I did win the Swagdog code that Gnomeaggedon so generously donated to the Child’s Play Charity Auction. But it was not out of the goodness of my dark lil ‘lock heart that made me pass the code onto a guildie. (Sorry to let you down, dear Gnomer.) [...]
[...] Win Blizzcon ticket+Accommodation+more, or Game Card, or Gaming Mouse+more! [...]
