Yep, it’s my 42nd birthday, as much as I might to deny it, and as much as many people look surprised to discover I am that old. (but they say you are only as old as the woman you feel… So that’s only 29).
Funnily enough I don’t feel 42, even stranger is the fact that I think I have been 42 for the last 12 months. Every time someone has asked over the last 12 months I have either said “nearly 42″ or just straight out “42″, I don’t know why…
Odin commissioned (from Mum) a crayon picture of him in blue shoes and gloves with Dad in red shoes, as well as Mum… Cooking. I think the 2nd is a worry. Maybe it’s time I learnt to cook something other than bacon.
My wife has signaled that she thinks our marriage is over by supplying me with a gaming mouse…

Last night we tried to beat the maintenace timer (you folk complain about enrage and nerf timers, the maintainance timer is an Oceanic player’s biggest foe on a Tuesday night) in Heroic Halls of Lightning.
I just knew Loken had my pants, we just has to race and get them (mind you the DKs thought Loken was holding their axe – I would have rolled against them if he did, purely in spite).
I am getting very sick and tired of this Worspress iPhone app loosing my posts. I have lost 2 whole long posts this week, and now half of this one!
Anyway, rewriting the rest…
I think probably the biggest difference between TBC and WoLK for me so far is the difficulty level of the Heroics. In TBC, you ran the normal instances a few times to get the strategy right, and gear up before even approaching a Heroic. In WoLK, Heroics are really entry level.. they must be, I have basically only done the instances in Heroic Mode, 1st time (nearly) every time.
On top of that, the concept of tackling the “hard mode” achievements in a first run of an instance just seems preposterous… yet, last night, while scoring top spot on the damage meter for General Bjarngrim, I aslo picked up Lightning Struck.
How easy… too easy, 2 “hard mode” achievements in my 1st run of an instance, which was on Heroic!
So how did we go?
- Maintenance Timer: 1
- Adventurers: 0
No new panties for me this time around… but I’m coming back for you Loken!
Ohhh, and Google will return the answer 42 if you ask the question….
Google will also search for Chuck Norris… but you may not like the answer…

@Darraxus: Yep he’s called Odin.. which is lucky, his mother preferred Thor… but it was a really, really, REALLY bad partnership with our surname/lastname.
Luckily we said it out loud before committing to it…

PS Can’t resist commenting on the name. In Sweden we normally call Odin “Oden”. It’s extremely uncommon as a name though. All in all there are 137 men called Oden in Sweden and last year only 5 babies got that name. The same thing goes with Tor (Thor as you spell it). 88 boys were named Tor last year, so it’s not even on the 100 top list of popular names. Strangely enough. It seems as if we don’t want to honour our old gods. Freja is an exeption, she’s going more popular. Spot 41 on the top list of the girls born last year.

Funny world isn’t it. There are 3 Odins (including mine) in our Suburb, and one of my senior managers in a Thor, so far from the home of the Norse. Of course my real name is very unusual… but a few years back when connecting the phone, I was told by the phone company that there were 4 other people with my first/last name combination…. now that is even more bizarre.
