There are two things you can be sure of in this life:
- If Larisa has to tag someone, I will be on the list.
- If I have to tag someone, then she will be on my list.
So I have deservedly been nominated for a Blog Award. Of course, I am a little concerned that it’s associated with WoWFailBlog. Not because of the Blog itself, which is great (and I have highlighted it previously), but I cringe at the conjunction of the words: Fail & Award.
Never-the-less, if it saves me bending my brain coming up (or finishing) with a highly original post, I’m all for it… I need a break… In a couple of weeks I will show you why… but for now, let me start with The Rules (Take note people that are about to be tagged!)
The rules
The whole set of rules for the appointed bloggers are as follow:
- When accepting this auspicious award, you must write a post bragging about it, including the name of the misguided soul who thinks you deserve such acclaim, and link back to the said person so everyone knows she/he is real.
- Choose a minimum of seven (7) blogs that you find brilliant in content or design. Or improvise by including bloggers who have no idea who you are because you don’t have seven friends. Show the seven random victims’ names and links and leave a harassing comment informing them that they were prized with Honest Weblog. Well, there’s no prize, but they can keep the nifty icon.
- List at least ten (10) honest things about yourself. Then pass it on!

What could be better than Tuna? Try SpicyTunas! Tunas’ blog is a blog of multiple facets. My primary attraction is with the Mage world, but there is more there for the avid Anime and Gaming Fan. Never a dull moment, always a good post.
On top of that, one of the best Blog designs around!

OK, some would wonder why I would list the bigger than a blog blog. Honestly, I think it’s because they have shone the spotlight on me a little bit lately, so they come immediately to mind. But also because of their new Daily Quest column, which is highlighting Blogsters from all over the WoW Blogging Community.

OK, This Inspired Ogre slipped off my radar, until he challenged me (a challenge that I have admittedly dodged, pointing him instead to Spicytunas post (above) as an excuse for me not to panic). He is my 1st stop each morning to find out what went wrong in WoW… I mean what’s getting buffed! Honesty… Honestly?
Geez… I am exhausted already and I haven’t even gotten to my 10 truths…
- I hate Memes and being tagged.
- I have been married twice, and intend to get married one more time… all to the same woman.
- I hate ants… the little “I will crawl over you while you sleep” variety.
- I never knew my grandparents (all dead), but my Mother and father were old enough to be my grandparents, and my siblings old enough to be my parents.
- I, in turn, am old enough to be my Son’s grandparent.
- I forgot what 6 was for….
- Is my luckiest number.
- I ate ham sandwiches for lunch… do nearly every day… I love them. My wife hates them. I still love them!
- I have nearly written a years worth of posts, even though I have only been present at my blog for 7 months (cause I was away for 2 months).
- Is a lot of truths to have to tell anyone. I don’t think I have told my wife 10 truths about myself yet.
- I don’t really mind Memes and tags.
- I can’t count

Edit: Doh! you mean in reference to my (S)crap… hehehe… Nah, I was really referring to my nomination… If they were “real” awards, then even if I was nominated, it would come down to the Mage category (OK, maybe Gnome) but (either way), there are more deserving blogs than mine in each of those categories…
It is also a reference to “Oh Crap, I have to come up with something fast before all the bloggers get tagged…” Seems the smart ones actually leave these things for a week, then list out all the people that nominated them.
I love these things, whether you call them Memes or not… it is amazing the Blogs that are lurking out there. Your first thought is… Oh a new blog… then you see their posting history stretching waaaaay back and wonder how you could have missed them

I’m still learning this whole meme, tagging thing >_<
I think I have a love-and-hate relationship to memes as well. If I’m tagged I feel sort of obliged to respond. On the other hand I don’t want to make other feel forced to do anything. I don’t like that it resembles a bit to chain letters.
On the other hand I’m fascinated by how quickly those things spread. It’s like a disease. I guess people who are into maths can give some impressive numbers on it. Especially a meme like this one, tagging as many as 7 other blogs… It’s bound to be all over the place even though some will pass.
As I said – love and hate. Love because you get something to write about “for free”
. And because it’s nice to feel appreciated and get attention. On the other hand if “everyone else” but you is tagged you feel sort of left out and forgotten, rotting in your own little corner of the Blogosphere, unnoticed.
Anyway – I thought this one wasn’t too bad. It’s good to get an excuse to give some extra love to bloggers who need it.
And honest confessions – ohh I love it!
@Gnome – I got tagged by someone I knew who runs a health & fitness blog and figured ‘sweet – this could be fun’, so I spread it to WoWers.
I’m glad I forwareded it because its spread like rapid fire through the wow community. It’s cool to see people right down the line tracking it back to my original post (makes me feel special ^.^).

It’s love hate for me, but one of the things I LOVE about it is how it turns into a game of Japanese whispers.
Eg: I assumed it started at WoWFail, this named it so and added my twist (S)crap.
I have since followed it back until I got lost in foriegn language, but it’s great how it has evolved, and even the variety of sites that have become involved.
I didn’t think Spooner would take it up, but he did… A news site! His 1st meme – great stuff!
Now we just need WoWInsider to take up the challenge!
