@Gaming Diva:
"we have to make sure that the class knows what they are doing otherwise, we’ll die!"

We will all die anyway... otherwise there would be no fun in PvP...

I forgot.. that's 3 things up the Mages sleeves...
1) Invisibility
2) Ports
3) Ghost Runs.

With those 3 tools, Mages are bound to win!

Can't wait to hear about your lowbie Mage's exploits in the BG. Twinked or just hopeful?

Hunters, Mages, Druids...
I would like to try those out. I've done very well with them in pvp against all classes. My Druid has done the best overall, but all three would be a blast. Of course, we have to make sure that the class knows what they are doing otherwise, we'll die!

OT...
My lowbie Fire Mage is almost level 20, soon I'll be putting her in BG's. That should be fun. I need to write a post about my adventures with my lowbie mage.

@Darraxus: A sight to see.. 100 fireballs launched... 100 Mages drop to the ground... would be worthy of a movie.

@ kyrilean: Damn... yeah your fantasy battle.. your choice... I was thinking all 3 flavors of Mage, so I fear that Dual Specing would become a deciding factor in this battle.

@Andromache: Nice tip.... will be giving that a go

>>Being a Mage I think in Ports<<

Off at a slight tangent, Wintergrasp has a good use of tactical portals for Fire mages - when one of the enemy vehicles breaches the outer wall and is near one of the teleport pads a well-judged blastwave can knock the vehicle back onto the pad (and thus out of the fortress). Cue much hilarity and gnashing of enemy teeth ...

Need clarification. Classes only or specs?

I would see that druids and paladins would rule all if it wasn't spec limited.

(200) prot pallies to mix in with the others and take brunt damage from those that can't tell the difference.

(500) ret pallies to kill everything!

(300) holy pallies to heal the ever living crap outta stuff.

or

cats, owlbears, and trees OH MY! (and maybe a bear or two...)

Even as a pally I'd have to say the druids would probably win.

100 prot warriors with improves spell reflect vs 100 mages would be a bad time for you guys :)

Ah... but it would be a tale of intrigue.

@Klinderas: I envision the streets of Dalaran filled with death... unfortunately it will only be feign death... Hunters are OP... seriously, that would double the numbers.

Although I guess we could have a bit of fun with pathing issues and kiting the pets away until they despawn...

Tactics would become important.

@ Anea: Being a Mage I think in Ports... what will I do today... where can I port...

But Rogues? Seriously? it would be a blood bath... especially since we can't downrank our Arcane explosions...

Ooh, I hadn't even thought of the porting aspect to mage warfare in Dalaran! Tricky tricky. I think that in this battle, mages would really win.

To play off your trickiness of a mage battle in Dalaran, I would want to see rogues vs. mages in the same setting. Both have sneaky in their own way - you would never know what's around the corner!
