Armaggedon's coming!

OK, I admit, this one isn’t hard, but it can be frustrating if you get your targeting wrong.

I enjoyed this quest and it’s lead up. Really though, a 3 foot Gnome using a 15 foot harpoon launching flaming arrows at buildings way across a ravine, then at the drakes that come to stop me. This should be a daily!

Anyway, the only reason I am writing about it at all is when I did this quest I spent 5 minutes blasting the buildings for no effect. So, I thought maybe you had to hit the buildings for a certain amount of damage before they were destroyed.

Not so, it is just about targeting the right spot of each building.

I think this is an Alliance only quest.. so sorry Hordies…

Leading up to this part you will need to complete:

1. The Path to Payback
2. Locating the Mechanism
3. Meet Lieutenant Icehammer…
4. Drop It then Rock It!
5. Harpoon Master Yavus

1st up, there are two harpoons, located at (64.8, 52.7) and (64.5, 54.3) so if the one you are standing near is busy, you can always check out the 2nd one. It is a quick quest done right though. So if the person using the harpoon isn’t getting drakes just tell them the following and before you know it you will be demolishing buildings and drakes.

The right spot is simply the roof. If it doesn’t blow on your first hit, just try again, targeting what you think is the roof.

So pick a building, any building. Press 1 to fire – you only have two choices, so that isn’t hard to work out. You need to destroy all three, but do them one at a time.

Once you have successfully hit and destroyed a building, a bunch of Dragonflayer Defenders will fly at you.

Yay! Anti-Aircraft time. Once again, this bit is easy, target and press 2. Don’t panic, you will easily take them down without dying.

Continue to destroy the buildings one by one.

You need to destroy all 3 buildings to meet this requirement of the quest:

• Dragonflayer Longhouse Destroyed
• Dragonflayer Dockhouse Destroyed
• Dragonflayer Storage Facility Destroyed

If by some chance you didn’t get enough Dragonflayer Defenders to complete the mission, the solution is simple. Just piss the enemy off again by destroying another building. When you do, you will get a new set of Dragonflayer Defenders to slaughter until you kill 8.
