SpicyTunas has been bringing us up to speed with a couple of transformations that take your Mage from being 1 in 11,000,000 to something a little different.
We have seen Dwarf Mages and Walrus Mages.
Well I am going to introduce you to two more.
Murloc Mage.
Everyone loves a Murloc right?
What about a fireball throwing Murloc?
Yep that’s right. Do the Winterfin Murloc quests and at one point you will get your hands on a spare Murloc suit.
Head over to the Winterfin Murlocs, throw on your disguise and throw those fireballs…. Err 1 fireball to be exact. Unfortunately Elvish tailoring isn’t the best, and the heat from one fireball will melt it clean off your body.
But as long as you don’t make top many offensive moves, you can have a bit of fun.
Run around like a mad Murloc.

Grab a snack.
Leap into the air with joy at your new appearance.
Do a little dance…

Don’t forget to check out the latest in Murloc underwear.
Orc mage
Next on the lair of must have disguises for the discerning Gnome on the street is the Warsong Orc disguise.
- Hate getting taken down by the Orcs in WSG?
- Wish you had biceps like an Orc?
This one is a little more hardy, (designed by Gnomes you know) and assuming you are in the right place, you can grind away happily in your smelly Orc gear. (I never realized how bad Orc breath was until I smelt the Dragons Breath coming from an Orc)
It was a good opportunity for me to observe Orc dinner manners. Croissant in your beer anyone?
Actually, those Gnome inventors are pretty clever. I mean who would have ever thought of putting an Orc mask over a perfectly good Orc costume?
Ohhh but while I think of it… Crafty, the Gnome that gives you the disguise has got a bit of am attitude problem. Some one needs to slap it out of here. Seriously, don’t offer quests unless you are going to wait around for us to read the text.
Blizzard does want us to read the quest text don’t they?
Back to the costumes…
The Problem
The limitation with these costumes is that you can only use them in the designated place, and you have to give them back at quest handin. So if you are happy to go back to the same place to dress up, don’t hand in the quest.
Gnomer and Out!

I think Crafty just has ADHD.
The costumes are awesome!! What about Furbolg mage? Or Skeleton Mage? I hear there’s a quest in Ashenvale that gives you a Furbolg costume that you can keep if you don’t turn in the quest. Skele’s by way of the good ol’ Noggenfogger!!
Hey Mae, sorry to hear you are archiving your blog… feel free to guest post on mine as often as you want…
Yeah, there’s the Noggenfogger, and I have heard about the Furbolg one (I think they nerfed that so it only works in the quest location now).
Then there was that time back in Kara…. I still don’t know what happened then….
As for Crafty… at least she does sit still, if only occasionally… Flik on the other hand deserves a hard pat on the backside.
Dont’ forget the flask you can buy in Stormpeaks for relics. It turns you into an iron dwarf for 10 minutes every hour. Sometimes more or less everyone in our raid uses one of those. And when I cast mirror- the effect is awesome. An army of dwarfs! I had never imagined I could be that happy in such a costume. But I am.
Ho Ho… Mirror Imaged Dwarves…
I wonder if anyone out there has saved the quests mentioned above.. I wonder if you get mirror imaged Murlocs and Orcs?
I held onto the Worg costume from a quest in Howling Fjord for just this reason. Seems like I’ve always got time at the Utgarde meeting stone to run around as a doggy.
