@Prelimar: My 1st run into TB was well planned, got the right lift etc... But as soon as I got to the top, my plans went out the window. Rather than doing an immediate left, I ran for the central ramp... Doh!

Upon rezzing, I got to the ramp, watched as a patrol went into the building to cross the rope bridge. I confidently popped invisibility, and 10 seconds later caught up with the patrol... I made it to the other side, only to be confused by the spotlights... Ohhh well, 3rd time lucky.

@Anea: Funny you should say that. My pocket Pally has recently gained new direction sense... Not he gets miffed when I explain he can't find his way down a one way street... He used to laugh, not he forgets to heal :-(

@ Larisa: My poor Gnome... I didn't get the title, and wont be this year. I am a little underpowered and time deprived to go for the whole lot, still, it was sort of fun...

Orgrimmar... I spent 2+ years with Org as my home base. I spent a reasonable amount of time in the valley of Spirits (my penchant for Whiskey I guess), but you know what... Not once have I ever used the "back" entrance.

Even recent forays into Org have been via the front entrance. Well I bit the bullet, and admitted to my failings the other night. I actually went through the back entrance...

Here's a tip/trap for the novice City infiltrating Mage.
You can use your Invisibility at 1 or 2 moments.
1) In the initial rush to get past the front guards, or
2) Once you are past the guards to elude "capture" (Why don't they take prisoners?)

The advantage of 1 is that if you have enough Invisibility juice you can get in unnoticed, and maybe find a place to wait out your cooldown.

However I would recommend the 2nd one.

Shield up, Mount up, ride like the wind past the guards.

Those that you don't outrun can be Frost Nova'd to give you another 100 yards, with maybe the occasional blink to avoid the hits.

When you reach a safe "hiding" place, whether that's your end destination or a good point to stop and regroup, hit Invisibility. Assuming it was only NPCs following you, they will reset and you can have a breather before the next steps.

This is particularly useful if you do reach your destination...
a) The mobs will reset allowing you to grab the quest in peace.
b) If any PC's happen to wander by at about that moment, then they might not see you reach the destination, giving you an extra 10 seconds to complete your covert operations.

Dear Gnome, I know exactly what you're talking about. I must admit that I fell for the new title. "Elder", isn't that exactly what I am? I had to get it. Rep or not. But those NPCs were rarely placed at easy spots by the flight points, as the candy things were at Halloween. They've been at the most odd places and it has taken me quite a bit of time to catch them all (not to speak of clearing my bags from those annyoing red evelops). The horde towns were definitly worst. I was on my own, I was absolutely lost, and two of them were formed as labyrinths. I spend at least 1.5 hours and some 40 g or so in repairs before I finally got, I think it was Ogrimmar, the one that was as far away from the entrance as you can think of, very well hidden from a very unhordish little gnome.

It isn't only you. That audio assitance would have come in very handy to me as well.
Ah well, the title is mine at last. I can't bare the thought of running around all over Azeroth for another achievement. I hope it will take some time before they make me do this again.

Usually, I am the person that has to plot out everything during playtime. The pally just follows me wherever. If we want anything done, I have to check, 'cause he didn't read the quest text! What an inconvenience for him!

However, I was given the gift of auto-follow for this holiday. I don't know what possessed him, but he mapped out every single place we needed to go, the best order to do them in, everything. That's better than Carbonite, right?

We lucked out in TB - I got Levitate and he bubbled. I should have looked back to see if we tricked any of the guards into jumping off in pursuit of us...

BEST.
POST.
EVER.

a couple guildies and i ran to thunder bluff looking for the coin there, and it was pure comedy, lemme tell ya. we got separated and ganked by the guards, and ended up as ghosts on separate bridges to the elder rise, trying to figure out how best to finish. (ghost reconnaissance FTW!)

once we rezzed and healed, we tore across the bridges, got the coin, and then leapt from the bluff to get away. i was supposed to use my slow fall to help us all get to the ground safely, but in the panic i couldn't seem to get it to work, so... yeah... it was a nice plummet earthwards for us, into the not-so-soft green grasses below. fortunately my guildies were forgiving, but we decided that we had had enough adventures for one night by that point. coming soon... ORGRIMMAR, lol.
