While I was roaming the Indian desert I was tagged by the udderly mad Jagerbombz in one of those “remember when” type posts.
The nature of Jager’s post was the source of our first commenter.
I am embarrassed to say that the nature of my first comment was a correction.
I am happy to say that the source of the correction comment was a much beloved and read Gnome Mage blogger that once revelled in the joys of pyromancy and has recently seen the light and returned to the fold (however temporarily).
I speak of course of Larisa, and the source of her correction was recently featured in one of my GoogledGnomes. “Larisa Mage” wasn’t the name of her blog, but I think I can be forgiven for that error, as people still to this day google “Larisa Mage”, find my blog, then quickly proceed to the warmth of the hearth at the Pink Pigtail Inn.
I considered making the correction and erasing her comment in shame of making such a monumental error, but decided that:
- I have never been ashamed of mistakes that I have made (especially those I have corrected), and
- The comment was made by Larisa, and I couldn’t get much more kudos than my first comment by the one and only Larisa.
She quickly followed up with more comments (just about all of them for the 1st little while) and has frequently been my muse for this blog.
The commenters I find as, if not more inspiring are those commenters that rapidly follow up their comments with blogs of their own.
I would pass this on, but as the inspiration for it is quite old… I will pass…

I think some mage cast invisibility on the long white cloud, or else fried it with a Pyroblast. We’re having long, beautifully sunny days … stuck in the office
Oh dear, how sweet of you to remember. I fell in love with your blog from the first time I saw it. It doesn’t sound so nice that my first comment was remarking on it. I just did it since I knew that if you didn’t change it you wouldn’t get the comments you deserved.
I’m a bit surprised this was as late as in June. It feels like if you’ve been around much longer.
