But… I have attended a Prince’s wedding, and I was the best dressed non-Indian there… actually I was the only non-Indian there, but I showed them how an Indian how to dress as well. (That’s my boy below)
There were some dramas worthy of a WoW questline.
There was the waiter that was in fact an armed robber (pistol and poison) hoping to lighten the load of the guests.
There were the loyal house staff, 2nd & 3rd generation (who don’t get paid per se rather get pocket money and the privilidge of living with the Prince), that noticed that the robber was amongst the waiters and took him out until the Prince and the guests could deal with him.
The prince mentioned afterwards that people wonder why they “put up with the house staff”, this he said is the answer.
Then there were the Sikh Princes and Guests dealing with the robber until they could decide whether to deal justice via the robber’s own pistol, or hand him (battered and bruised) over to the police… police being the ultimate course of action.
My wife said during the drama.. don’t ever cross a Sikh, let alone a bunch of Sikhs, especially at their prince’s wedding.
Apart from that we have dropped by the Golden Temple… now I understand what a temple covered in Gold is really about, and what dedicated disciples would do around such a temple.
We have seen the changing of the guards at the India/Pakistan border… A Bunch of Peacocks doing a symbolic dance… magical.
Now I am with family in Moradabad, and I am truely coming to understand villiage life with the village square, shared well and all. The traders hawking their wares from their horse, man, oxen or goat drive wagons.
All in all a magical experience, and I am only 1/7 of the way through it.
I hope Northrend is treating you well as India is treating me extremely well.
See you all soon!
Gnomer and Out

What an amazing trip for you to be on! I’m glad to hear you’re enjoying it.
Also… your little guy is SO cute!
was about to say “Screen shot or it didn’t happen…”
but well…
thanks for the update! glad you’re having a good time!
Oh God, this story makes Northrend seem a bit dull and pointless, no matter how much I’ve liked it so far.
That’s really an epic trip you’re doing.
So what is the main mount used in India these days?
So I hope it wasn’t Gnomer letting of nukes that has started all that trouble in Mumbai.
Stay safe and hi to the family from me. You need to get him to do some bollywood moves whilst he dressed in the weeding gear
Main mount here these days is a toss up. All of them less than epic.
Pushbikes, motor bikes, scooters (or duck bikes as we call them due to their duck call horns), and timy cars. Of course there are the mass transport vehicles… rickshaws, AutoRickshaws (seat 4, carry 10)
Saw my first camel yesterday… heading to the desert….
Must go, crying boy in background… all well and having a great time.
BTW, I now have a really good understanding of local villiage life, one step up from the tent slums… 2 of my family members live in such communities… and the atmosphere is amazing, and something the usual backpacker is unlikely to experience.
