One of the easier PvP achievements is Duel-icious. All you have to do is win a duel.
Easy, especially of you rig it!
So I put out the call and Tree Hugged Dave and a Priest mate signed up to roll over.
Once they arrived and we exited Ironforge (can’t duel inside?), I buffed THD (cause I am a nice Gnome). He buffed, himself and we went at it.
Hang ok, he’s fighting back! That’s not I’m the job description, he’s meant to just stand there and take it like the Night Elf he is!
Damn lost that one.
However my Priest mate offers to become toast.
I buff him. He buffed… Himself… Sound familiar?
We go at it, I lose again!
Damn them, they were healing and buffing each other!
One more time with feeling, and THD goes down, but I will never know if I beat him, or he rolled.
Just remember boys and girls, if you try to cheat Blizz you open up yourself to be cheated by your mates!
Gnomer and Out!
Excluding the zombie invasion this set was a recent highlight of my wow experience…..
Heres what happened the priest and I were on Teamspeak as we had been questing together.
Gnomer puts out the call so I agree, then between the priest and I we hatch the plan to teach the firescorching dps waterboy a lesson about pvp’n healers.
So we meet up all friendly
As gnomer pointed out, no point buffing the opposition.
The key to our success was Gnomer put out the deuling invitation. Priest HoTs and shields me then i accept deul.
Bamm gnomer is at half health before my shield wore off. Then it was a root, heal, blast, root and repeat with the occasional travel for and the cat from for sprint to make it hard…..gnomer goes down…
He is all quiet on chat
….now the priests turn…. HoTs loaded again with an inervate as he accepts so he had no mana drama.
Healers have to be sneaky.
Yet another reason why the RAF thing is an excellent idea.
When you duel yourself, you’re guaranteed to win.
My duel victory came in a pretty humorous manner. During the plague, a level 32 Night Elf Druid was infected. He whipsered me to ask me if I would kill him so he could rez uninfected. Apparently completely new to the game, he challenged me to a duel, assuming that he would actually die when I won. Rather than correct his error, I took the cheap achievement, then complied with his original quest. I didn’t say I was proud of it, people!
