I have lost a pet. Not just any pet, but one that has been with Gnomeaggedon since he was big enough to venture into Westfall unassisted.

This is the chicken you gain after making a fool of yourself for 15 minutes with the emote /chicken.
I must have bitten the bullet when bag and bank space was at it’s lowest and the mechanical chicken must have one the elimination.
Now I know you can go visit any Stable Master and get your deleted chain quest pets restored, as I have with my Smolderweb Hatchling and Worg Pup, but apparently. Keeping chickens is below a Stable Master’s dignity.
So I am at a loss. That chicken was so loyal to me. It had been with me for 2 odd years and 60 levels. But although it is a quest chain (2-3) steps, and a non-repeatable quest (I made an idiot of myself again the other night in the hope), the stable masters had eggs for breakfast leaving me starving for feathered affection.

That’s odd. A friend told me as recently as last night that the quest was repeatable. He did it three times in a row on the same character to help some Horde-side friends loot the chicken for the 50 pets achievement.
(He was also drunk at the time, so take his testimony with a grain of salt.)
Either way, don’t despair! As a Hordeling myself, I know for a fact that anyone can loot the egg once it’s spawned. Just have a friend create a level 1 human and run it down to the chicken farm (I don’t know what it’s actually called). She can complete the quest for you, and you can loot the egg.
It won’t be the -same- chicken, but it will be -a- chicken!
Just beware of the coyotes … wolves? … canines! … that prowl the area. When I was there on a level 1 Alliance alt to help my Undead ‘lock pick up my her own Westfall chicken, I watched a coyote dart down the hill and kill the little clucker right in front of me!
Ahh it might be repeatable… I didn’t think it was, but after 100ish /chickens the other night I gave up…
Will try again when I have 1/2 hour to kill.

Well when I was a noob he got 3 chicken eggs, trying to sell them but not realizing they were BOP. The quest has to be repeatable i think
I also deleted the same pet by mistake on my Druid Alt, but because the icon probably shared the same as “Small Eggs” or I confused the two…
Even if it is not repeatable, the GMs might restore the item for you, although you can only do this about 3 times per account, so don’t waste your 3 restores.
I know how you feel about losing this pet though, because I’ve had my Silver Tabby from E. Forrest since I was about level 10, and that kitty has been from Loch Modan to Kara with me.
