What a blast the invasion has been. I’m a big fan of the Zombie invasion.

For a predominantly PVE individual, i find it amusing that I’ve become a ZvP fan.
I was down in Redridge completing achievements when my taste for grey matter became unquenchable. The scourge had started that day. I took out Lakeshire with some level 70s, not a npc or player was left standing…..time to take the infection to Ironforge.
Now I had a hoot. Am I a teenager who likes to create grief? No, not this old tree.
Sure I probably annoyed some people by killing quest givers and others.
I think this is different from 5 level 70′s camping x-roads. Blizzard have created this event. It’s a unique opportunity to get away from the grind and have some meaningless fun. Go with the moment and grind on lowbie players brains
Get a group together, strip down to save on repair bills and go eat some brains. You’ll be smarter for it
I give the scourge invasion a ’9 out of 10′ for fun.
It may be an accidental aside, but it seems like WOW is having it’s own world melt down. Their timing is impecable. Global financial markets in shatters. Stormwind City needs a front end loader to scoop up all of the corpses
. Nothing like some light relief from life and raiding
Enjoy the moment. Just ignore the QQs in trade
. It is a game after all.
pps… kill the neutral named skeleton elites in the cities they drop runes which are needed for the invasion bosses
Blizzard will end the chaos soon, so do it while you can…..eat more brains

A Desperate Alliance, brought to you by WoWInsider
I don’t really understand those who QQ about the zombie invasion. While I don’t like zombies at all, I’m having fun. I’ve killed so many brain-lovers that I couldn’t count.
I even organized a 30 man raid to clean zombies from Orgrimmar and around. They had already taken the city (not a single Argent Healer in Org, possibly bug), and when we entered, they attacked. The whole screen was red, it was like Starship Troopers! After 20 mins of really epic battle Org was alive again!
Of course sometimes I ended up zombie. So what. I seeked a corner where no one was nearby and casted Zombie Explosion.
So stop QQ, kill them all!
Seriously I’m not having fun at all with it. I may be a qq-er but I don’t see the fun in not being able to work for goals I’ve put up in the game. Like yesterday, having to make x number of corpse runs just because I wanted to go and train my freshly dinged rogue in IF.
If I had wanted to play that kind of game I’d rolled on a pvp server.
I hate it and I can’t wait for this event to stop. (Sorry for being such a grumpy old lady.)
@larísa: you just wrote an article about WoW being character-builder. Take this zombie trouble the same way. Adapt, survive, come out stronger! You don’t have to battle them, you can avoid them!
Tip: forget IF and start using Darnassus or Exodar. While I’m playing Horde so can’t be sure, but I assume that these cities are less visited by the undead the same way as they are less visited by the living. I’m practically relocated all my assets to Undercity, the horde’s safe haven from the scourge.
You can also do daily shopping (reagents, selling vendortrash, repairing) in small towns, tipically in Outland. I haven’t seen a single zombie in Nagrand or Netherstorm.
As rouge, travel stealthed!
i can confirm that darnassus and exodar are less zombified than the major cities. i was there for about a half hour or so on my server and had a quiet, trouble-free series of transactions. and as Gevlon (above) says, the remote towns are also relatively trouble-free, too. *definitely* stay away from shattrath… on my server yesterday, it had basically been lost to the scourge. i gave up trying to get to the flightpoint and just rezzed and took rez sickness.
for the record, i love the zombie invasion — i fight against them until i succumb, and then once zombified, i join in trying to take down wherever i am. if you can’t beat ‘em, join em! ONE OF US…ONE OF US…..!
i think the most irritating thing about the zombie invasion is the people who constantly complain about it in trade chat. : P
when i get tired of the zombie madness, i have been using this time to work on the achievements that deal with exploring. it gets me out to the middle of nowhere, and i can have a nice, peaceful time for awhile, until the taste for brains comes back.
: ))
At first I thought it was fun. I went on a zombie raid with my guild in goldshire but now it seems like all this lich king stuff is getting in the way of regular stuff that I wanna do. I got some pretty cool screenshots though.
same as Pj221, I was enjoying the zombie invasion at first as I finally got my UIs in-order then I was having to rush and deal with zombies as we were trying to do Arena… it’s annoying when you are a bit unprepared.
9/10? Seriously? 0/10 for me, all it ended up doing for me is wasting time, make me even more frustrated and allow me to get ganked with impunity by anyone.
Seriously, I just wanted to take my lowbie trick or treating, is that so wrong?
I thought I would hate it… with so little play time, I can’t afford to lose any to nutty gankers that get the opportunity to take down their Alliance mates…
But, the reverse has been true… I wish I could do more, but time wont allow.
Last night, log in at IF, think about BGs, decide to hand in the Quest in EPL… dodge Zombies on way to Flight Master, make it to EPL only to find out there is no event happening right now.
Port back to IF, right into middle of Zombie attack..
Lurch towards Battle Masters, get taken out.
Rez, run in and grab the Quest Dave mentions above, fly to Shatt.
Quest reciever swamped by Zombies… AoE heaven ensues… but Now I am a Zombie.
Lurch about looking for something to infect, die, Rez hand in Quest.
Port back to IF to hand in Quest, take out Guards-turned-Zombie on way to find Quest receiver.
Quest receiver guarded by handful of loyal living… I join in for a while.
All good fun… We cry out for world events, yet when we get them for a few days complain that things can’t be like the previous 700 days.
Take a few days out & enjoy.
Like something I overheard in chat last night.
“It’s not like we would all be going to the bank or the shops if Zombies invaded earth”
This has been a very controversial event and i guess it depends on where you are in your personal playing cycle that drives how you feel about this event.
I was at the stage where the game was offering me very little.
No point running for gear. Xpac is coming so soon i can smell it
Leveling up alts. Well i always do this in spurts and my enthusiasm had wained.
work AH. Prices are crazy at the moment.
Farm. See above
Do dailies. Sort of do a bit of this but i hate repetition.
Achievements. Thats what i was doing but it feels like a hollow time waster. I was going to get outlands dungeons ticked off.
then out of the blue came the scourge. at first a mild amusement. that crept up on me. like prelimar i liked playing both sides.
I log on now with no intention of doing anything but whatever comes my way.
Last night I sat SW inn in the Hottub with a hot gnome who was offering to let us drink tequila shots stuck in her bikini top while we waited for the zombies to invade.
Whole guilds were camped in SW fighting back the scourge. Predominantly the cities are now safer.
I love how at first ppl laughed, then the infection went crazy, ppl got mad and now they are fighting back and helping each other out.
I have managed 3 full AH house scans with a level 1 bank so I don’t see the problems
Only drama i have is the queue to play
Expect to get nothing done and its a blast.
the invasion has brought a passion to play out of me thats has been lacking for some time. Well done blizz u have my vote
