OK, not quite 1 in 1 million, more like 1 in 6, but even so, I feel even dirtier than I did a week ago.
One week ago I reported in how I was not the only Gnomeaggedon in the world, there were 3 of us… well it turns out that there are 6 of us, because I didn’t go checking the EU realms.
Saresa brought the WoW Armory Character Distribution Widget to my attention in her post 44% of Saresa’s recommend…
So at this point I had to check it out… What I find is wierd!
- All Gnomeaggedons are Male… I guess that makes sense and is not so weird. It would have to be Men that bring about the end of the world… not that Women wouldn’t be capable of it, but I think in the whole Gaia sort of way they would save the world, not destroy it.
- There is a real mix of classes that think they are going to bring about the end of the world. I can understand Mages x1 (Me!), or Warlocks x2, maybe even Shaman x 1 (although that seems a bit contrary) but rogues x1 (one back at a time?) and Paladins! Death Knight I understand… Paladin… that’s wierd!
- Weirder yet… 2 of the 6 GNOMEaggedon are Horde… Mmmm when did Horde get Gnomes?
- Ohh they didn’t. While all 4 Alliance Gnomeaggedons are Gnomes, we have 1 Blood Elf and 1 Troll (I wonder if it’s a forum, or more specifcally blog troll… you got me)
What were these people thinking?

Don’t worry Gnomer! You’re still the one and only Gnomeaggedon for us.
Maybe the troll and bloodelf have parents who are great fans of you? I’ve heard of people called Luke and Chewbacka even… see it as a compliment I say… or as potential future stalkers if that tickles you the right way
I suspect it’s more a case of the Troll and Belf wanting to bring Armageddon to the Gnome race, in a sort of “I am the Death of Gnomes, fear me, puny ones!”
Or something. I think they’re just compensating.
Heh, most of my characters are alone in their naming… But wow, what interesting widgets people create
