I guess I have been level 70 for around 18 months.. maybe a few months less, but I can’t be bothered counting.
Every Gnome and their Alt has Quag’s Eye. It’s the trinket that one has to have.

I have been wanting Quag’s Eye for a long time. I have tried to twist the arms of my mates, to no avail. On the odd occasion we aren’t boosting the vendors pockets through repairs earned in Kara, then my mates are off to run the highest badge earning Heroic, which is usually the Daily Heroic, and rarely Heroic Slave pens (or rubbing salt in my wounds “We just ran that one in record time… have to wait until tomorrow Gnome” – there is never a tomorrow for Gnomeaggedon, there is only a Friday)
Why not PuG it Gnomer?
Well, I have tried… many fruitless hours spent in LFG (Someone suggested recently that LFG should be modified to allow you to subscribe your alts to LFG, on behalf of your main… I could handle sitting in the AH, picking up the bargains, while waiting for a spot for Gnome).
The one occasion that I recall getting an invite to HSP, the condition was that the other Mage got dibs on Quag’s Eye… /sigh
I waited so long for Quag’s Eye, that I purchased Icon of the Silver Crescent with badges…
I waited so long for Quag’s Eye, that I carefully hunted the Auction House for Darkmoon Faire cards (even to the point of mailing many of the sellers to try an negotiate better prices).
So, after that long, long wait, I grab a PuG to run HSP last night so I could clear my bags of Earthen Signet and Blazing Signet to complete The Cudgel of Kar’desh. I have had these 2 things in my bags for months… yep waiting for a group to run HSP.
So I got it now… I will never use it, but I have it.
Now my 3 foot Gnome Mage can stand tall, towering over Taurens mounted on Kodos, because I now have Quagmirran’s Eye, I am complete.

PS: I got some WoW time Tuesday night as I am not playing for the next couple of Fridays, and I am STILL Fire spec’d… I will respec Frost, if and when I get time over the next couple of months, but I still have fire in my veins, not ice 
The group I ran with seemed pretty good, T5 & T6 I believe. Prot Pally, Hunter, Lock and a Priest. no deaths.
The 3 Damage meters were all pretty together (Hunter 29%, Gnome 25%, Lock 24% from memory), although the Hunter didn’t have his pet out (but then I wasn’t blowing cooldowns either).
Happy to say that on the DPS score, Gnomeaggedon was No. 1… Lock even congratulated me on it

I haven’t been counting but I have run H SP at least 25 times now for that stupid thing.
The only time it dropped a bloody resto shammy out rolled me for his off spec.
I was annoyed by this.
I got it on my Lock as an afterthought in a run. One of those “Meh, I’ll take it if nobody wants it.”
Oh how I loved that trinket. Proably because it took me so long before it finally dropped. It’s collecting dust in the bank, no matter how I try to manipulate Rawr, it just can’t be justified that I carry it. But I can’t make myself vendor it.
Just awesome for a mage.
