A couple of things…
1st up, I logged in this morning to find this welcoming sight… It has been a while since I saw this, and just had to share it. That’s my stockbroker there in the picture… just as in Australian toothpaste commercials, he can’t show his face…
Secondly, I have been putting off SSO reputation. I can never find a group for Mr.T, or if I do, we spend the time alternating between wipes and LF1M. I generally can’t be bothered with the dailies, I have enough cash coming in through the Auction House to satisfy my window shopping.
Anyway, scored a bit of bonus time online, and decided I would try and at least get my reputation to Honored. I succeeded (In part due to Tree Hugger Dave running me through them, so I knew where to go). I must say, this is a nice way to do a reputation grind, 2,200 rep for about an hours work.

Sunwell dailies are awesome!!! I used to grind the Auction too, and had other money-making tricks, but when I hit 70 I learned to ask “Is this faster than Sunwell dailies?” And the answer is always no.
And you don’t get rep from grinding the AH.
And Magister’s Terrace is a PAIN to group for times a million.
I got my gloves of arcane acuity, and swore i wouldnt go back to MGT
then I got my scarlet sindorei robes and phoenix pet, and swore I wouldnt go back to MGT
then I got suckered into one more run for a guildy, and got timbals focusing crystal.
So Im really really really never never never doing it again.
Thankfully all those runs got me more than halfway through revered without ever doing a daily, so when I turned to the dailys it took me no time at all to hit exalted.
re: AH vs dailies. my gold / hour from playing the AH is very hard to measure, but it is very easy, doesnt require me to pay more than 10% attention to what im doing, and has proved to be a very reliable souce of income.
Gnomey finally got me started with some very helpful secret tips on using auctioneer advance, and I have to say i would recommend it to anyone.
I am now finding that every time i log my bank alt, someone has purchased at least one of my auctions in the past hour. this is a much easier way to get gold than doing SSO dailys, and they dont give rep when you hit exalted anyway!
Of course the dailys are there when you need quick cash, but once a successful AH strategy is in place, you dont need quick cash
It’s nice being able to afford the ridiculous amounts of food, flasks, potions, repairs and bloody respecs I seem to go through these days.
