I guess one thing that inspires me about the coming glyphs in WoLK, is the flexibility that this will give Blizzard to give us minor tweaks to things, even if they are cosmetic. Most likely they will need to increase the number of minor glyphs that are usable to satisfy my desires, but at least they have given me 2 slots to begin with.
So if I could add some novelty glyphs into the game, what would I add?
Spell colour.
Why are fireballs always red? What about a bit of green fire or hot blue flames?
Why are frost bolts always frosty, why not bolts of water (the colour of the Yarra river – which is brown btw)
How can you tell one fire mage from the other, one frost mage from the other.. the same way we can identify polymorphers – the skin on their spell.
Maybe even rainbows shooting from our finger tips, or flowers, or rocks, or…..
Feather Fall

Hands in the air, floating to earth… boring… let’s spice up our feather fall. Once again, just cosmetic, we can’t soar around the world using featherfall, but a bunch of Mages launching their hang gliders, or parachuting in, off the Lumber Mill towards the blacksmith would be awesome.
Polymorph.
Do I need to say more than this
Teleport/Ports
Teleport is great, but it could be that little bit better if I could port where I want to go. OK, so this isn’t a cosmetic change, but you could either have glyphs that are attuned to locations automatically, or that you can permanently attune to a location of your choice.
Disguises
Why not polymorph ourselves, why wait for special occasions or only have the choice of Pirate or Skeleton. I’d like to be a sexy Night elf once in a while. How about a Mage tower filled with Murlocs?
Familiars (although I guess these are pets) aka Arcane Brilliance: My Mage wishlist
OK, this post at WoW Insider piqued my interest. Grabbing a critter from the environment, my mechanical chicken being useful, my cluck clucking chicken laying eggs for dinner? The cane toad giving nature resistance, the mouse giving stealth, the rabbit giving jumping powers (Ohh the Gnome might make it up the stairs!), the bird giving a birds-eye-view.
Mounts
Not mounts per-se, but rather the ability to individualize them. Why should Zhevras be the only mounts with racing stripes? Let me turn my gryphon into a beautiful parrot (or even an annoying cockatoo), My mechanostrider into a kangaroo, Umbrellas or rainbows. How about letting us choose our flying carpet – shag pile, coloured, old & ratty
Food & Drink

Conjured croissants, muffins, mountain spring water, Manna Biscuits – Ho Hum.
How about a 3 course meal, Diet Pepsi (yuck), Red Bull, hamburgers with the lot? A little variety in our diet is a good thing Blizzard.
What else?
So what would you folks like introduced as novelty/cosmetic glyphs?
Gnomer and Out!

I want be able to change my dress colours to match my tabard…
There should be a neutral area in the new models that allow us to pick a colour to use. Keep it black by default, but then if we pick another colour it will replace it.
This way that gear might still look OK as you mix and match. Less looking like a clown that has thrown up on themselves.
No, no, no! Please save us from hamburgers and parachutes. Even though I guess you’re just joking and playing around with ideas. Which is fun to do!
But I’m afraid someone could take your suggestions seriosly and make them happen. And I defintly don’t want to see that, as little as I like the introduction of motorbikes and other motorized vehicles. (I’m no fan at all of the helicopters). Yeah I may be a bit conservative (blame my age) but I’d really like to keep a little more of the fantasy feeling in the game.
