Can you help Auctioneer, help you make money?

If you don’t follow the Auctioneer forums, you will probably have missed the request from Nechckn for copies of your Auctioneer Advanced “config” (lua) files.

Their goal:

The idea being that they will look at what everyone is doing and try to create
a) The best default configuration – so people can install and use AA “out of the box”, and
b) Help them write up the some documentation.

Can you help?
So if you use the current preview release, and think you do OK with the money making activity of grinding the AH, send them your files.

On a side note, I think they were asking for help in (re)building their wiki for the new Auctioneer Advanced.. I can’t find the post, but if you think you have good wiki/instruction writing skills, why not post on their forums and offer your services (I know I really should do this, but I can’t be sure I have the time… and I don’t want to let AA users down… Orcs tend to get grumpy about lost fortunes on the AH).

As we prepare for the “official” launch of Auctioneer Advanced, one of the most important things to have is a good set of “default” settings.

Of course, the current settings are decent but we think that the folks who have been using Auctioneer Advanced for some time can really help us to help those who are “new to the scene”, so to say. Many of the advanced

When not in game go to your ..\WorldofWarcraft\WTF\Account\<Your_WoW_Account_Name>\SavedVariables directory. You know, the one folder that every person who plays WoW should be backing up as often as possible. =)

What we need are the following Lua files:
- Auc-Advanced.lua
- Any recently updated Auc-Util-<name>.lua
- BTMScan.lua

Note for those using MS Windows Vista: Your settings can be in the WTF folder and, or, in \Users\<Windows_User_Account_Name>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\<WorldofWarcraft_Account_Name>\SavedVariables

Now that you have the files:
- Simply compress the files into one
– You can use 7-zip, WinZip, or any of the included compressors – anything that will provide one of the standard zip file formats.
- Upload the resultant file to http://Up.Norganna.Org
- Create a post that includes the link that is provided when you upload the compressed file

We really can use the input from those who use Auctioneer Advanced. One of the most frequent questions is “how do I set this up”. By taking a couple of minutes, you can help us to help everyone!
