Larisa has written a great post about being an ex-Fire, now Arcane Mage…
Zupa informs me he will be converting me to his Frosty ways in the comments to my Sunfire post.
There’s only one thing I can do… Go Go Invisibility… mmm powered by Arcane… Blink… damn Arcane… Ahh Iceblock… damn Frost…. I know.. Blazing Speed there I go…. Ohhhh I didn’t grab that talent…
I expect I will be hearing more from them.. and I dare say that my usually fireball, fireball, fireball, dragon’s breath defense wont hold…
I think we should square off at 41 yards (ahhh one minor advantage?) and tackle a talent at a time… pick your rank 1 talents folks, and let’s start the fire/frost/arcane slinging
Gnomer and Out!

Even if you stay fire , stay at major spellpower. Not only its a thousand gold for +10 firedamage, a money you can well invest in oher things foer sure , its too that you will use other damage sources (primary arcane for AoE) that will not benefit for the whole enchant.
Haha, you really want some kind of end-of-the-world war to start right here on your blog… The ever ongoing debate about what spec is best.
You’re inviting EVERY kind of self-appointed expert to make long essays on your blog. It’s kind of cleaver!
Honestly I’m not the kind of player who tries to tell other players how to spec and what to do… But I will try to share a little bit more about my thoughts about being arcane… I just have to gain some courage so I won’t get totally upset when I’m declared an idiot by others who know better.
But wait— you said rank 1! OK… so we’re not shooting with the big balls here, rather with water guns… (or the frosties are at least)…
I’ll load a bit and I may be back. Here or on my own blog. I’ll see about that.
I start the bidding with elemental precision!
3 points gets you 37.8 spell hit for free…… allowing you to gem for more damage and stamina instead.
[...] I must point out that this isn’t intended as an extreme theorycrafting shootout, rather a reflection of why we love our specs and hopefully a light hearted analysis, piece by piece of our talent trees. So, no need to worry Larisa. [...]
[...] Fire vs. Arcane vs. Frost (and when the dead crawled back into his grave, a Gnome picked up the Popsicle). [...]
